Most of y'all would be happy as clams in Eastern Washington, other than the wind blowing 30 mph all the time and summers being hotter than hell and winters brutal. Its the best of both worlds...stupid high wages and cost of living just slightly higher than most of the developed south. I couldn't stand it but its closer to the south than Seattle by a bunch...

Seattle is very depressing from Nov until March. It is very expensive too. Median home price is $875,000, down from $900,000 plus. Wages are high and the minimum wage is $20 p/h, highest in the country. Seattle is a city if transplants, that may explain the social freeze.
Mayor Harrell has done a great job cleaning-up 3rd Ave. For those posters who say the neighborhoods suck, you are wrong about that. The food scene isn’t on par with New Orleans, NY, LA or SF. But what is?

I ate & drank all over but spent the most time at a sports bar watching NFL games called Buckley's which is at (I think) 2nd Ave & Battery.
FYI for single guys. The level of female attractiveness is low in Seattle, but Buckley's was much better than average for the area.

The Asian scene is great. Try some Filipino friend chicken at Chicken Supply if you want something similar to the South but very different. The French, Italian and American options aren't bad they just don't match that scene in a lot of big cities.

I go buy oysters from the farm and it’s 14 bucks for a dozen. Imagine the pricing as it moves up the chain.

I'm not even sure what he's trying to say there. Hurricane Ridge is plain? The Columbia River Gorge is plain? The Cascades are plain? Augusta Dawg must find Washington Road far more impressive than I do.

I have some relatives in Redmond and the one complaint I would have is it seems like absolute hell getting from one side of it to the other. But, if you don't have to do that often, it's probably fine.

IMO, the quality of life is lower.
Politics used to wear on me because I had a lot of friends on both sides but I’ve been denounced by the left

I’m pretty sure AugustaDawg hasn’t been within 2000 miles of Seattle. He’s throwing shite against the walls to see if anything will stick. Besides, we’re talking about the burbs and not downtown.
