But really, there's nothing wrong with switching teams whenever you want. Sports are there to provide us with enjoyment from the struggles of our day to day lives. If your favorite sports team makes you more miserable than happy, you should probably tone down your fandom and emotional investment of the team or root for another team.

I consider it a blanket rule, no switching, unless an expansion team launches near you.
Or in extremely rare cases, your son plays for a certain team.

The moniker of America’s team is already taken. It’s the Atlanta Braves. There’s an imposter every year trying to take it. Last year it was the Reds. I guess it’s the Rangers turn to try now.
