This is why the impeachment of Mayorkas matters.
There is no chance Mayorkas will be removed. Impeaching him is just a waste of time.

I usually agree on political theater. But this will be the only chance that the GOP has to force the media to cover the border issue.
Congress has to fix the issue. Texas is on the losing side of this legal issue under current US law—which is flawed and poorly constructed for modern problems. And it won’t be SCOTUS’ fault. It’s Congress’ fault.

Texas has just as much of a right to defend its borders as any other state.
But it just doesn’t. Current US law prohibits Texas from countermanding or deviating from the federal governments enforcement of immigration law at the Mexican border.

Also, they never said Texas couldn't put them up, again, and again, and again...

Allows potus to further expand foreign invasion into the country which is obviously against the oath of office. The same oath that all politicians, armed forces take

Texas also has a constitution to uphold its citizens.

Roberts has been to Epstein Island.
He will vote as he is told to vote.
Probably video of him reaming a child.

You are correct. But, seriously, how insane is it that some people consider it a “win” for the courts to consent to the federal government’s dereliction of duty. FedGov literally went to court so they can allow an invasion

They seem pretty helpless too. There are laws on the books that the executive is openly defying. Not sure a way around that other than impeachment and removal which obviously isn’t happening.

Very insane. I don’t envy the Court at all.

Very vague, milquetoast laws that use the word “may” when “shall” is more appropriate.
The executive is the immediate problem, sure. But Congress is the root of the problem.

The Constitution is a compact (contract) among the States to create the national government.
It is a compact (contract) between the national government and the States.
The national government is is material breach of that contract.
The States (that word is capitalized for a reason) have every right to declare it null and void.
frick the SCOTUS. By its inaction (which is about as nice a word you can use for their COMPLICITY), at a minimum the fedgov has ceded its authority.

So how does Abbott combat this insanity?
Remove the razor wire and replace it with something more lethal?

You’re blaming the judiciary for applying the law as it stands instead of blaming the two branches that have the power to change immigration policy.

No.
I am blaming the SCOTUS for fricking ignoring the Constitution.
