What a beautiful little town. Everybody was nice, the place was clean and I didn't smell weed at every red light. I despise Baton Rouge even more today. You baws keep that place beautiful out there.

You'll get a bunch of northshore haters replying, but you're correct.

What's wrong with this? I'd much rather smell this than cigarettes

I enjoy visiting Covington and my daughter lives there. It’s nice to go somewhere and not be overran with trash. Of course, I usually go on Sundays so don’t have to fight traffic nightmares as she does. She hates where she lives bc of traffic. Things are clean, too.

I like the smell of leaves , wood, marsh, sugar cane, etc. burning. And weed. Doesn’t bother me.

Back in the 70s and early 80s there was no better place to be a kid than Covington, LA.

Next time, drive to the lakefront in Old Mandeville, bring a picnic blanket and a football or some bikes and ride around.

When the weather is nice, it’s a Great spot to take in the scenery. You’ll forget your in Louisiana.

How to say that you’re a low achievement poor without saying that you’re a low achievement poor.

The only nice things in Covington are the stained glass windows in the middle of town.

Parents lived there for awhile (N Flower Estates).

I’d agree. Loved hitting up Madisonville and the whole area. Had a farm in MS north of Stinkoloosa as well.

Fond memories
