They should schedule these executions 8 at a time to reduce costs and put the witnesses on bleachers outside like a HS football game. Line em all up in front of a big dirt berm and use a claymore

The Bible does say "Thou shalt not kill". It is a commandment. However, it does go on to describe what should happen to those who do spill the blood of innocents. Please don't confuse the commandment with the ramifications of breaking it.

Should we be worried about Nitrogen exposure? /s

Probably from the fact that while DENYING you are pro-abortion, you make arguments to make sure poor girls aren't denied abortions.

Your answer to LsuPimp:

quote:

How many of those agencies prohibit women from accessing abortions though?

These are the words of someone who is pro-abortion, not pro-life.

Your concern that these women be allowed to have an abortion stand on their own.

Not finding a vein isn’t cruel and unusual punishment.

Boiled alive, thrown in a wood chipper feet first, thrown in an acid tub, thrown from a cliff, those are cruel and unusual punishments.

Why couldn’t they simply fill a closed chamber with carbon monoxide?
Seems simple.

Sounds like it wasn't "botched" at all.

Sounds like he suffered.

Just think, this POS could have avoided all of this if only he hadn't savagely committed murder.

I agree. The state had their shot. They botched it. They should not get a second bite at the apple. I'm not against capital punishment, either, but you are correct. This is cruel and unusual punishment. He already experienced once being seconds from imminent death at the hands of the state.

don't really follow this logic.

They simply weren't able to find a vein, so they didn't go through with it. I don't see how that should absolve someone from their sentence.

It's not cruel and unusual punishment, because it wasn't their intent to be cruel. It's not their fault they couldn't find a vein, and they did the morally right thing to not try and force anything and just called it off til a later date.

He was sentenced to death. He wasn't sentenced to 1 attempt at death. He hasn't completed his sentence yet.

Death row in Alabama is Holman Prison in Atmore. It’s a big metal box with no air conditioning. Spending your entire life in that place is probably worse than being put to death with an odorless gas. They spend so much money fighting appeals for these death penalty cases that never happen anyway that it just seems like a waste. I wish all these guys were executed within 2 years of the sentence but it’s usually taking so long they die of old age in prison.

Making someone breath inert gas might sound more humane than a firing squad to a gun-grabbing idiot, but it's not. Guns have a purpose and they do it well.

All of this just shows what a farce this evil Yankee empire has devolved into. Maybe they can pretend the guy's actually a fetus.

But muh wood chipper!!!1! Muh rage boner!!!

I'm with you. If execution is going to not be "cruel and unusual," it needs to just happen quickly and effectively.

And I hate this, but in a society of laws I think that maybe they'd just have to release this person at this point. Maybe there are additional sentences that were imposed that would justify keeping him locked up, but there's no crime where the penalty is "like, try and kill this guy (and take a Mulligan if you need to), but if you just can't, then keep him locked up forever."

We can't let the State of Alabama just make shite up along the way.

Dig a hole.
Throw him in it.
Fill in the hole.

Done.

Because breathing pure CO2 burns. It actually hurts. (I'm all for it, btw.)

Nitrogen (which is what most air is made of) causes no pain. The person becomes euphoric and just dies of hypoxia.

Yes, but it was because she was oppressing Kenny Smith. Therefore, he is not guilty!
