He never was, Lebron loves LA way too much. He's gonna retire there.
In other news, this sounds like it's gonna be a quiet deadline around the NBA.

Maybe but I remember last year how the KD and Kyrie crap came out of nowhere. We knew there was some issues with them and Nets but who knew they would trade them midseason. To me the team to watch will be the warriors- do they stand pat or start to break everything up??

I would love to grab Dario Saric from them

JMO: I would like to figure out some way to trade for Mykal Bridges or Brandon Miller. BI could be a part of either trade...and anybody besides Zion and Herb could also be included to get the trade done.
I said I would trade BI...even up... for Bridges over a year ago...and I got a severe tongue-lashing and I was told Bridges would NEVER be in the same ballpark offensively, as BI. NOW, I would trade BI and ANYBODY except Zion or Herb...EVEN UP...for Bridges.
For Miller, I'd trade BI and anybody except Zion, Herb or Trey. (And...to be honest, if pushed...I would probably let Trey be the 2nd guy along with BI...just don't tell the Hornets I said that)

I mean I don’t disagree. I would trade BI straight up for bridges but I don’t see why Brooklyn would do that. Same with charlotte. Why would they want BI taking shots away from Lamelo and demanding 55 million per year?

Yep...over a year ago...coulda probably gotten Bridges for BI straight up which is why I am NOW offering BI AND any other player except Zion and Herb. (Plus...I'd even throw in a pick or two to get the trade done)
Miller will be a bit more of a gamble...at least at this point...but I think he's gonna be the real deal. (Paul George, part 2)

The thing about trading BI is find me a team that’s like “yeah we want more of our shots going to Brandon Ingram”.
To me that’s hard.
Hawks? Why am I taking the ball out of Trae Young’s hands to give to Ingram?
Charlotte? Why am I taking the ball out of Lamelo’s hands to give to Ingram?
Repeat for the majority of the NBA.
We clearly see that BI is a terrible off ball player.
So who is giving up a lot for a ball hog mid range dominant player?

All it takes is for 1 other team to see him similarly.

Yeah but what team? I genuinely can’t think of any team in the league right now that would want BI as their #1 option (including age/development ie pistons)

I can't but it's happening. So it wouldn't surprise me at all if another team values him similarly.

And we’ve seen what that gets us and most people on this board want to trade him. I don’t really know what point you’re trying to make

Jazz make sense as an Ingram team. He can do the point-forward role there, Lauri is a great off-ball star.

I don’t necessarily see it happening for multiple reasons (in division trades seem rare)
But Houston wants to win now and could use a #2 to put next to Sengun.
They would potentially be willing to trade Jalen Green or Jabari Smith, salary, and a pick or 2 for Ingram.
They already have Sengun at age 21 as a young star to build around. Eason, Amen, and Whitmore are other young pieces. They could easily decide to flip either Jabari or Green for a more established guy like Ingram.

These trade ideas are so ridiculous on all fronts. It just proves the theory that NBA fans see only the faults in their own players games and not any of the shortcomings in other team's players.
You are in contention right now. With a young deep team. They are growing. They are not going to win a championship this year... the goal is to have some sustained success that you can build on next year.

Hawks would actually be an ideal landing spot for BI imo.
He would be forced into being the #2 because that front office and coaching staff will always have Trae as their #1.
Murray, Griffin and Okongwu for Ingram, Zeller and Naji, or Murray and Capella along with picks for Ingram and Jonas would both work for me and I suspect Atlanta also

I don't why some of y'all continue to engage in these BI trade fantasies. There's just no way that Griff is going to dump BI mid-season for less than a true all-star.

SPIN CYCLE ACTIVATED
we're tied record wise for the 6 seed, with the 5 seed in sight. And Zion has been playing better.
