3 adult men went to watch a game at a friend's house and didn't come home. Finally a fiancee went looking and all three were found dead in the back yard. Homeowner was there for two additional days and purportedly didn't notice. Police immediately ruled out foul play but no cause determined.

Speculation on Reddit is they were cooked on drugs and sat out back too long and just died there as it was quite cold. Friend was either zonked out himself or too panicked to call it in.

quote:

(NewsNation) — On Jan. 7, three Kansas City Chiefs fans went to a friend’s house to watch a game. Two days later, their bodies were found in the backyard of that Kansas City home. Now, as their families push for answers, the homeowner’s attorney tells NewsNation his client had “no idea” their bodies were in his backyard.

“They were in the backyard. He doesn’t use that particular door. He goes out in the front. And so, he had no knowledge that they were out there until, you know, Tuesday when he was told that they were out there,” attorney John Picerno told NewsNation host Dan Abrams.

I can’t imagine how awful it must be to have to get so baked to watch your team to deal with Taylor Swift coverage that you freeze to death.

I live about 2 miles from there and this is the most complete up to date story I’ve heard. Local media has went silent on this story.

It was like -30 right? But how do all 3 die? I’m confused on how he didn’t know they were there during the game if they went there to watch?

If the speculation is correct then they were all doing drugs together and were probably all blasted to high heaven. One guy goes to lay down to sleep, three go outside to smoke or get fresh air, stay outside too long or pass out without realizing how cold it is, body gives out.

How were they missing for days though? No one knew they were going there?

Like you said I’m guessing it’s a combination of drugs and alcohol and the cold. But crazy that all 3 died and no one knew.

What I'm reading is the guy who owned the house / survived could have been the dealer and may not have been well known beyond the three friends. It's not clear if the other two were married or not, just that one guy's fiancee came to the house and found them.

As a single dude you can go days without anyone really looking for you. Fiancee could have called the cops on night one but just didn't know where to look for awhile?
