What is BI's real trade value?

Like what do you think he could fetch?

Siakam only was worth Bruce Brown and three mediocre firsts.

Does anyone think BI is better than Siakam? I don't.

We don't need the picks, so what's a realistic haul we could get for him?

If you don't think BI is better than Siakam than I don't know what to tell you except you probably haven't paid much attention Siakam the past two seasons.

Ingram is probably worth at least 1-2 picks more than Siakam due to age.

They are pretty equal players. Both different strengths and weaknesses. I’d give the edge to Ingram and that’s before I factor in age.

I think you could fetch close to what the raptors got for OG, minus probably one of Quickley/Barrett

Siakam is also going to be a UFA this offseason and is going to be a 30 year old looking for a max contract. That plays a huge factor and they could have gotten more if they moved him earlier. BI has a year left and is also 5 years younger.

But other than that, yeah it’s exactly the same

No one in today’s NBA wants BI. He’s mid range game does not translate into today’s game. No one is going to give you much for him. Not to mention he’s going to be looking for max money in another 18 months. His clutch time numbers are enough to scare most teams away.

I’ve mentioned this in another thread before but people on this board’s view that BI is worthless is not shared by the rest of the NBA. There are FOs that still value BI, even if everyone here does not

Just curious who we talking about? They should be calling those people to see what they can get.

Siakam also has more playoff experience, won a championship and knows how to win. Personally, I think Siakam has more value.

Agree they have some nice pieces. Duren, Sasser, Ivey, Cunningham. They aren’t trading Cunningham. Ivey is the wrong fit for us. Would love Duren.

Detroit isn’t given up picks for a guy like Ingram. The only picks you are getting back for Ingram are picks from a team expecting to go deep in the playoffs.

Ingram is a good player and should have some value. But Ingram on his next contract may well be a negative asset.

Ingram is example A of how the nba salary structure underpays top 15 players and overpays guys right on the fringe of being top 30 players.

Do anyone on here consider B.I a top 20 player?

I’ve been screaming this for years. I’m not sure why the stars of the league should get paid the same as some upper tier non-star. Also, if there were no max contracts you couldn’t do the whole “super teams”.

Pelicans need to go the other way.

Trade Nance, Marshall, Daniels, and four first for Markkanen. It can be their pick this year, Lakers pick, and both Milwaukee picks.

They need to consolidate.
