Penix was already good. He was probably the best player at Indiana in quite awhile.

Do you know who his OC/QB coach was at Indiana?

It really feels like it all happened so fast.

Their administration has failed miserably. Their transition has been atrocious. I know losing the goat is the biggest of blows but it certainly looks like they did not have a plan for this. Or a shitty one.

It’s almost like they were caught completely off guard by his retiring. Makes you wonder if he didn’t give the administration a heads up. I find it hard to believe he’d to that though.

Either way the university had to have known this day would be coming soon, the man is over 70, and should’ve had a plan in place.

Let me guess he’ll go to Texas, A&M, Florida State, or Miami they are the only teams getting high profile transfer portal guys

Deboer made Penix a lock 1st rounder. This doesn’t seem smart but I will take it

------------------------------------------

Correction, Penix made himself a first rounder, if that's the case come draft day. DeBoer just happen to coach the team that he played on.

Yeah, I thought the A&M desertions both in established players and new signees was bad but Alabama is definitely starting to challenging them for the biggest loss of star/potential star players.

So sorry for you Bama fan ... ***sniffle sniffle***

We had joy, we had fun
We had seasons in the sun
But the wine and the song

Absolutely not. The reason I say this, is because I would like for LSU to build a culture similar to UGA. They barely take any portal transfers now. They cultivate from HS, and it's paid dividends for them as a program.

If Nuss balls out and leaves after this season, we will likely need to go the portal route for a year, assuming Swan is not the man for the job. I really hope Underwood redshirts his freshman year.

This could get interesting. Saying did visit LSU in his recruitment. If his talent level is on par with Underwood, LSU could get Sayin in the system 1 year ahead of Underwood and he may still be willing to come to LSU and compete.

Sayin was all Bama for damn near a year. One hiccup in the next year and poof, he's gone.

I think losing your hall of fame, multi national championship winning coach is more than a hiccup
