I really wanted to watch and enjoy this as I have with most of them. But it has become so ridiculous. Yea yea. It’s been absolutely absurd many movies ago but I can no longer subside disbelief with how much further they keep pushing the impossible.

If you made it all the way to X, you might as well watch XI to see how it ends.

Driving a car in space wasn't too much for you in Fast 9?

Just watch it for what it’s worth. Don’t take anything seriously and it’s still pretty entertaining.

Yea it’s become a different kind of movie for a while now. But it’s hard to distinguish what they want the audience to view them as. To me it went from a drama action thriller to a complete action comedy almost but not quite tropic thunder.

Trust me that was my thought process going in. Maybe I’ve aged too much since the first one came out when I was in highschool but I guess I need shite to make a lil more sense. This literally feels more like a very bad budget film along with the past few movies.

Maybe they’ll be spin offs, or they could reboot down the line, but X underwhelmed at the box office and it’s been reported XI will be the last with Vin Diesel.

That was 8 with the submarine.

I didn’t enjoy X that much either. 9 was ridiculous, but still enjoyable. Having X end on a bit of a cliffhanger probably didn’t help.

Dom being all about “family” was turned on its head with the reveal in 9, though. Blows a hole in “family.”

Ehhhh maybe reread the plot synopsis of X

There’s a long dead character that popped in to save the day

I thought the same until I remembered Han (ETA: and Letty. Hell, probably Vince and Jesse in XI too). No such thing in this franchise.

Except Brian…

Oh yeah! Hahaha. I completely forgot about that subplot.

frick. That movie is now worse than I remember. Still wasn’t 9 with the sub, though. Haha.

Those movies are best viewed as modern Pulp Fiction action stories.

Ha. They’d have a rough time bringing him back. Maybe he’s secretly the computer AI thing from the Hobbs & Shaw spinoff.

I wonder why the Leon character never showed up again. Didn’t the actor retire from acting or something?
