Probably after the Tulane game. My dad was in some of those riots. Had to protect the goal posts from the enemy.

I lived in Tiger Stadium my freshman year in 1947 because ROTC was mandatory for all physically able freshmen and sophomores and that was where we were billeted.

What a time to be alive!
What was it like? Did you live there while any games were played?

This one is dated 1937.
Undated 4th quarter image.
... and these are from a 2016 Tigerdroppings post.

Tiger Stadium w/ Alex Box Stadium in the background. c. 1950s.
Picture is likely from the 1940s.
Stadium was expanded to that configuration in 1936 and became a bowl in 1953. Original Alex Box was constructed in 1938.

I'm sure this was either posted in the 2016 thread or in other threads about the pool, but:
The HPL pool and my best read on the year is 1936, but I could be way off.

Could you imagine what they would think if they could have come to the Alabama gave in 2022. They wouldn't know how describe the experience to their friends.

Yes I have a picture of LSU vs Jefferson Barracks from 1909 and a huge picture of LSU vs Tulane on the first match up after Tulane rejoined the SIAA conference from 1911 (North eastern side of the State Captial).
