Army Official Says Mark Milley Delayed National Guard Response to J6 ‘Then Lied About It '

Colonel Earl G. Matthews, senior legal adviser to Major General William J. Walker, who commanded the Washington D.C. National Guard on January 6th, 2021, has blamed former Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark Milley for letting the protest get out of hand. The colonel compared the now-retired Milley to the murderous Don Emilio Barzini, who served as Don Vito Corleone’s arch-nemesis in The Godfather.
“Milley controlled the Army,” Matthews told reporter Neil McCabe, arguing that while the Joint Chiefs boss lacked legal authority within the chain of command, he instead leveraged his profound influence and contacts in the Pentagon to delay the Guard’s response.
“The problem was not with Donald Trump; it’s Mark Milley and the Army leadership in control. They stopped the Guard from coming then lied about it and said the Guard acted at sprint speed,” Matthews explained. “Milley is the Don Barzini of the Deep State… the most powerful chairman of the joint chiefs in history,” he continued. “It was Milley all along, and I didn’t realize it. Milley was manipulating this entire stuff from point start.”
“This is about civilian control of the military. There was none. There is none. I argue that — Mark Milley had more control over the D.C. Guard on Jan. 6 than Donald Trump did — if Donald Trump wanted to call the Guard to go to the Capitol, Milley wouldn’t let him do it.”

There isn't one J6 Faux Insurrection believer who can explain the lack of extra security on J6.
They all know Trump offered extra security and it was turned down but somehow in their minds they rationalize the declination of extra security because Pelosi and others said they didn't want the US Capitol to appear as if it was located in a Third World country police state.

If trump called, emailed, or texted anyone that he tried to have any sort of military in DC on J6 he should just provide the receipts and shut everyone up. They keep saying it’s all lies, but Trump knows he did the right thing. He should hold a press conference and present the evidence.

This same whistle blower testified under oath and he was internally punished at the DoD. He also said two Generals (One Flynn's brother Charles) lied when they said they never said the Pentagon was worried about "optics".
So Charles Flynn and the other top dog guy were overall ordered and Milley ran the show. and denied he ran the show over POTUS?
The entire case against Trump is also moot with this.. I also believe the deputy AG and Milley et al.... committed treason, insurrection against the POTUS.

I think Pelosi wanted it to look like a third world country minus the police. I don't know how much was actually pre planned, but the Dems played it all to their narrative using MSM

As a former soldier of the 101st Airborne Division, I think Milley brought shame to the uniform and the patch. I hope his "rendevous with destiny" is soon upon him and it involves the lack of a heartbeat.
