Happens to me too occasionally. Nobody will remember anything discussed in that meeting on Monday morning

In this case it will be Tuesday morning with some NFL playoff football mixed in so you know damn well we ain't remembering shite.

Team players. A team player is a winner.

They always lay people off late in the day on Fridays. Less drama

Sending out the meeting request on Friday afternoon for a 4:30EST call? Man, that's next level dickheadedness.

Client kickoff is on Tuesday and Monday is a holiday. Gotta prep.

Isn't it understood that once we cross 1pm that we are just running the clock out?

It depends. Sometimes if we have a complete fire drill of a week my boss and I will take turns punting our weekly 1:1 to where it ends up on Friday afternoon.

When that happens, it’s usually like a 2 minute call to say “glad that’s over, have a great weekend”

It’s BS. Most of my team is on the west coast and they constantly book 5 or 6 cst meetings on Fridays.

Just book meetings at 8 AM CST and they will get in compliance with the unwritten rule.

Isn't that just the start of your evening shift at the Dairy Queen?

Every place I've ever worked, prior to current, was a "No Meetings Zone" on Fridays. That includes military, federal, and private companies.
Now I'm not shocked when I have multiple meetings on Fridays...

I have and they’ll show up. It’s mostly Koreans. Their work ethic is impressive

It's worse when someone schedules a late Friday meeting and then cancels at the last minute. Welcome to my Friday!

The wife had a female supervisor and she was a total bitch. Knowing that we were packed and ready to roll on a late Fri evening (5:00) she purposely schedules a 4:45 meeting and the wife couldn't leave. She did this twice. Finally had enough and went back to her old job

That's when you say that you can join for the first 15 minutes but you have a conflict at 5pm.

Really not trying be a hardo, but I'm curious what kind of industries/jobs y'all work in where meetings on Fridays are so taboo.
