The moon landing was 54ish years ago.
The moon landing was 55ish years after the Wright Brothers first powered flight.

Strange how scientists with today's modern technology aren't sure if we can pull it off again, or even exactly how to do it.

Were scientists 60 years ago so much more brilliant than scientists today that they were able to send a man to the moon in a toaster with some Radio Shack technology but todays scientists can't get it done with todays computing power?
They can't reference the old notes of how those baws did it 60 years ago ?

It's almost enough to make a skeptic wonder if we actually went.

Most people didn't even know that the moon landing footage that people watched "live" was an animation until Buzz Aldrin told Conan.

X - Buzz on Conan

Buzz isn't saying that they didn't go to the moon.
Just that the landing footage that everyone watched "live" was merely an animation.

Summed up by three little letters: DEI. Imagine doing an in-depth comparison of the personnel at NASA in the 60s vs today.

People were willing to risk their lives back then and decision makers were willing to risk other people’s lives back then, people accepted risk as part of the venture

In today’s world that is not the case, hence the reason we won’t do anything with risk involved

To be fair scientists didn’t know how to do it 55 years before either.

A NASA spokesperson has admitted on interview that we have lost the technology on how to get safely to the moon. Deals with the van Allen belt radiation and safely traveling through it.

I have read random people posting this on the internet, but I’d like to see the exact quote from nasa. There’s no way they just “forgot” how or “lost” the technology. I’d wager it’s more like they don’t have the budget, or something.

Bull frickin shite. We might have lost the men who had the brains to sort it out, but it's not like it was some kind of magic tech involved. It was lots of money, lots of testosterone, lots of cigarettes, and lots of patriotism that got us there.

Merica frick yea

How many people like this do you think NASA has today? Serious question.

This thread is full of dumbassery.

We landed on fricking Mars.

When trying another mission to the moon, there was a fuel leak.

Whoops.
