Should the NFL just ditch the salary cap?

I'm not convinced there is an NFL franchise that is "too poor" to keep up with other NFL franchises at this point.

Sorry the Saints are in salary cap hell.

why would any nfl owner agree to that? they are raking in the dough

No
The NFL's salary cap, waiver system, and draft system are it's greatest qualities and they're why it's the most profitable sports league in the world

No. It's why the NFL is king.
Keeping hope alive across and entire league instead of a handful repeating over and over.

It is the envy of every other sports league in the world, even soccer guys would love to have a similar system in order to encourage parity.

People say this but the NFL was still wildly popular before the salary cap.
Of course there wasn’t true free agency then either so it would be a different dynamic.

Unless you want team stacking, keep the cap. It's the best way for competitiveness.

Small market owners will never ever agree to get rid of it.

If it ain’t broke don’t spend money fixing it.

Soccer fans love their superclubs… like Real Madrid…

People think the owners want the salary cap to promote parity. But in reality it is so there’s a cap on the money spent back on the players and makes themselves much much richer

I think everyone knows that. It’s common sense.
