I really enjoy reading Incel shite, because it's frank and unadulterated. A bunch of dudes who never got any and know they never will have basically nothing to lose. They're a great antidote to the Funko Pop / NuMale / "Mask Up" orthodoxy, with all its boring fakeness and sameness.

Back before I'd ever heard the term "incel," I used to read the IMDB message boards for the movie "40-Year-Old Virgin," and it was full of what we'd call incels now. Then one day the people who run IMDB had their menstrual and deleted the boards altogether.

I think SomethingAwful archived part of it, though. It really was literature, right up there with Tartuffe or Wodehouse.

The stuff you are talking about is truly weird. I dont think many in this thread are so hopelessly inept that that they are incapable of getting laid. I do know the dating market is terrible though. One only needs to go outside the US to see that

But because that IRL 2 - 3 woman has gotten a IRL 7 - 8 man into bed a few times, she think she's entitled to that. She doesn't give the IRL 2 - 3 man or even a IRL 4 - 5 man who would genuinely be interested in her the time of day. Those men get friend zoned. And even if she eventually changes her mind, at that point those men are too bitter, so she's simply lost that opportunity.

I hate to break it to y’all yunguns, but it’s been true for a long time that overweight, unattractive women could get random hookups with cute guys. This isn’t something new. This was happening in the 90s. Back then the IRL 5 guys wouldn’t consider these same women for a relationship (only sex just like their IRL 8 peers). Y’all have said a million times in these threads that the only rule for a steady relationship is no fat chicks. Maybe that’s why these IRL 2 and 3 women aren’t settling down. In other words, maybe it’s about male preference and not just female stupidity.

I think "getting pussy" and "finding a good partner" can get mixed up in these threads

An cute 18 year old girl in 1980 may have had encounters(where some kind of conversation beyond "excuse me" or "thank you" occurred) with probably less than 10-20 adult men in her lifetime. Now a cute 18 year old girl with an instagram and tinder has maybe thousands of men that have at least initiated a conversation, often times attractive girls will even get well known athletes and celebrities contacting them.

I can’t speak for women in the 1980’s, but when I started college in the late 90’s, any moderately attractive woman knew that she could walk into any bar on any night and find a guy to sleep with her if that’s what she wanted. Things really aren’t that different. Women have always been peppered with offers for sex. It used to happen in person. Apparently now it happens online.

The problem is all the real-world institutions that people typically would meet someone are pretty much gone or people of dating age are non-participants. Churches are especially pretty hostile/indifferent to single males. This doesn't include the fact that churches are gynocentric places to begin with.

If you enjoy sports and know something about baseball, maybe you could try signing up as a Little League coach. We never have enough quality coaches, and it’s actually a lot of fun if you are a competitive person and know the sport. And some of those moms have younger sisters or nieces. What they see is a nice young man who is good with kids and gives back to his community (i.e. dad material). They also know you aren’t some sort of creep because we run background checks on all of the coaches. I actually think this could work. Little League is one of the few community based organizations that we have left, but it many places it’s holding on by its fingernails.

So you believe only parts of the Bible are God-inspired and you are God-inspired to know which parts?

I’ve had run-ins with a parent or two, but most of them are great and really appreciate their child receiving decent coaching. Little League is really hit or miss as far as coaching goes. Just a suggestion to help these guys get more involved in the community. You can also get a dog. That’s actually how I met my husband.

it's kind of like talking starbucks and netflix in a housing affordability thread. the points might be valid, but not so much in this setting.
