salespeople just walking past the receptionist and back to our offices. I got one receptionist to announce code blue over the intercom. You could hear doors closing in rapid succession.
I wish our receptionist did this. If someone is looking for you up front, she will find you. If you don't come up after her buzzing your office, and using the intercom, she will walk the halls and find out where you are.

I would say just stop washing and see how far they push it but they would probably get pissed at you and ask why you stopped doing dishes and you get a lecture on pulling your weight.
I don't think anyone knows it's me washing them, which also doesn't help. These aren't my coworkers, but people from other companies who also rent offices in the building.
We have a cleaning company that comes 2-3 times a week in the evenings, so maybe they think it's them?
I have taken to taking them all from the sink and putting them into the dishwasher without running it, and letting it happen over the span of weeks until the washer is at capacity and there are no more dishes left in the cabinets. Sadly, doesn't seem to help.

Luckily never had an office job but I've heard corporate types speak and jesus christ, the buzz words are sickening to hear. Talk like a regular person.

It has its moments that annoy us but I’d imagine any work setting has a list of things.
It’s those 100+ degree days and 40 degree rainy days that I think to myself “yeah I’ll put up with minor annoyances in an office rather than work out in the elements full time”
Call me a sissy I don’t care

years ago one of the women burned popcorn and ended up the burnt popcorn smell on her hands. i walked in and this genius was trying to get rid of the smell but rubbing vasoline on her hands.
i said, you should use some powder. so, she put powder on top of the vasoline.

That isn't an office. That is a big bank of cubicles.

It is amazing to me what some people have microwaved in our office.
Taco salad, unpeeled crawfish, pumpkin concoctions...

I swear there are people where I work that get paid per meeting.
We used to have a meeting to discuss the upcoming "Big Meeting". Then you had the actual "Big Meeting". Then the day after you had a meeting to discuss what was discussed yesterday at the "Big Meeting". Then three days later there was a meeting to dicuss revisions in what was went over at the "Big Meeting".
This was on top of the every Tuesday and Friday morning meetings.
Next month...let's do it all again.

I don’t go into the office itself all that much now that I have a nice setup at home, but when I do, I always have to empty the damn sink that’s filled with dirty dishes. There’s a dishwasher right next to it that I load and run. Then next time I decide to go to the office, there dishwasher is still sitting there filled with the clean dishes I ran. And the sink is filled with new dirty dishes.
Just hang a sign above the sink that says - “Do your dishes. Your momma doesn’t work here!”
The person that hangs that sign is my pet peeve btw.

That's when I get up and close my door. Then, just to let them know, I open it again about a minute later once they've moved a little away.

So cringey. I go to a party thing each year for this really good food they serve at it. The vast majority of the people there are corporate folks just kissing major arse and using damn near scripted sounding lines. I just laugh on the inside as I make another plate.
