I’m convinced with no coaching influence at all out of high school these defensive players could have put their heads together and put a better product on the field this year. And I’m ashamed to even say that.

Never thought id see a day where LSU looked slower (& way less physical) than Wisconsin on Defense LOL.
LSU is really slow & just really bad on defense, everywhere really. Never seen so many bad angles, missed tackles or just total whiff jobs where they miss the guy completely. Poor effort a lot of times too.

This guy is the defensive version of Matt Canada. Time for him to move along down the road. Maybe Sunbelt Billy will hire him.

TBF, I honestly believe him when he says he is not spending a lot of time considering staffing for next year till this one is in the books. Might have put out a few feelers at most.
His lack of announcement doesn’t really indicate anything one way or another.
I honestly think House gets a mulligan given last year wasn’t bad and the hits at position coaches he took this season. That’s enough to give him benefit of the doubt given Kelly’s past history with him.

How so?
What would be the advantage to Kelly dragging it out? It just seems like the longer this goes on, the less likely it is that House is being fired.

Imagine having 15 practices and then giving up 500 yards to Wisconsin lol
I wanted LSU to win but also wanted WisconsinOLU to score a lot of points on the Tigers to embarrass the Tiger Defense enough just to make a point and leave no doubt in BK's mind. (My fondness for WisconsinOLU comes from me being based in Madison WS for a Summer touring the country with the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps)
House is done because.........
* The defensive scheme he's trying to run at LSU is too complicated for the athletes to comprehend and execute.
* His Ego and Stubbornness has not allowed him to simplify it or make adjustments.
* Spayed & Neutered Harold Perkins and didn't start/give enough playing time to the best overall LB on the team. (West Weeks)
* The "Perception" of retaining the DC of this inept Defense will be used against LSU in Recruiting.
* BK will infuriate a lot of the LSU fan base if he retains Pennywise the House Clown.
* The "Historically Dysfunctional" Defense cost the Tigers a shot at another National Championship.

I don't see how we could keep House. I think he's proven to be incompetent. Over and over, etc.

What is he risking? A $70 Million buyout after next season?
Posted on 1/3/24 at 5:41 am to PUB
He's produced a defense that cant play man cant play zone cant rush the passer, cant tackle...
but other than that hes great

BK is not a fool. His job is at risk if he keeps House and LSU defense is abysmal next season. If he get a big name hire for DC then he gets a pass if defense is not up to expectations. After watching the video, there is no love there, no respect, House is ignored by his players. This video speaks volumes. House is responsible for their lack of success on defense. He is the after all the DC.

He isn’t connected to the players.
Can’t change his scheme based on the talent he has available.
Can’t adjust to what offenses are doing to make big plays (still has slow safeties trying to cover the best WR, all an offense has to do is motion a guy from the outside to slot and it’s an instant mismatch).
His defensive ranking doesn’t match his pay.

This says it all:
LSU defense was 108th in total defense, 108th in scoring defense and 118th in passing defense.
Next question? House needs to be let go this week.
