The dude can place a ball with touch. He does get the ball out fast but when he goes deep… he puts it in spots most can’t or wouldn’t dare to.

19/22 of Washington’s starters on offense & defense are Juniors and Seniors.
That has a lot to do with their success

Washington has to go full balls out and Marino the Wolverines DL with their NFL QB and NFL WRs. Just pass all day...Texas doesn't have a shite D-line and they never touched Penix.
Bama was sort of the perfect playoff opponent for Michigan with their personnel. Nobody in the Big10 slings it like the Pac. Forget being balanced. Score fast and big plays early and make Michigan play catch-up. Pac had the best QB play in the nation this year, top to bottom.
Go out as a Conference doing what you're historically known for. Don't play into the Michigan game. Pretend its the Rose Bowl and Mark Brunell and Billy Joe Hobert them.
Hell Joe Burrow them and just pass silly from the opening bell....forget the run.

Or maybe recruiting rankings are very flawed or meaningless in this context...
THIS. They’re even less relevant to this conversation since the implementation of the transfer portal and NIL deals.

Four times.... FOUR, count them. That's how many games Penix finished with positive rushing yards.

LSU was known as the college football meme of “if only they had a QB” for over a decade. Then, Butrow comes in and lsu has two Heisman QBs in 4 years
Ed Orgeron was the worst coach ever, EVER, in ole miss history. Burrow made him a national champion

Didn’t Washington have a game or two with zero offensive TDs?
There was an entire month where Penix went dormant. It was suspected that he was injured. Looks like he's good to go now.

Washington has the #24 roster, 27 4 stars & 49 3 stars out of 82 commits. They are short of the 85 by 3 and only 76 are 3 or 4 stars.
Michigan has the #14 roster, 2 5 stars, 45 4 stars & 38 stars out of 85 commits. All 85 are 3, 4, or 5 stars.
The difference between 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc. is mostly quality of depth—the ratios of higher to lower star ratings. As much as many want to discount them, star ratings are more often closer to right than wrong, though not perfect.
Washington has quality depth at WR and RB if they avoided injury on the Oline they can be competitive against the top-level teams and win those games at times, possibly even win a natty. Pennix is very good but they are not undefeated solely because of Penix.
Michigan is situated much better, however. I hope Washington wins but they are the underdogs here.

like Penix and think he’s a really good QB and will be a solid pro
He’s a dangerous pick. One knee injury from retirement.

Cam is probably #2
There was zero NFL starting talent on offense outside of him, and next to zero on the defense outside of Nick Fairley and Josh Bynes.

Pump the breaks. He had a really good game so not taking that away from him. He also had a game this year where he led his team to zero TDs and two picks.

Did he carry the absolute worst defense in college history to a 9-3 record in the nation's toughest conference?

Their defense was 97th in the country and they went undefeated. LSU's was 107th. Kind of splitting hairs talking about shitty defenses

Playing the likes of Cal, Stanford, Washington State, Boise State, Tulsa, Oregon State

so their defense must have been pretty terrible to allow those teams to land them 97th in the country in defense right?
Posted on 1/4/24 at 5:07 pm to lsufball19
Their scoring defense was 54th in the country, LSU's was 82nd WHILE ALSO playing a tougher schedule most of the season (Washington's benefitted from playing Oregon and Texas recently) sorry your gotcha didn't work
Posted on 1/4/24 at 5:17 pm to Gen Patton
There was no gotcha to he had. You over exaggerated how bad LSU’s was and ignored that Washingtons was terrible. Nothing more nothing less
