I understand and agree with your point. However, you are leaving points/rewards on the table unused. It is best to pay it off every month to get the points

Most people don’t have the discipline to do that so it’s best they use cash. Credit cards can be very beneficial if you do though, I average 4-5k in rewards every year

The sad thing is you think you’re actually being financially savvy

All of the try-hards with their cash brags... This is exactly what credit is for... Large purchases.

Why are you spending so much on a holiday when you cant afford it?

This is the OT son, no such thing as bills, interest, or debt.

well this is just dumb.

Just pay your credit card off each month and rack up those rewards. The ole lady and I took a trip to Hawaii this year using nothing but credit card points.

You need another person to tell you how dumb this is...

This is dumb. Have self-control, pay off every month, and take the free money these credit card companies offer via points.

I'm not. I'm flush. The point is that not everyone wants to go into their cash-on-hand to pay for a large purchase. Just because you pay for something as you go doesn't mean you can't afford it. I can go pay cash for a car, but I'm not going to.

All you people bragging about paying with cash are missing those sweet sweet credit card points. Cash back for the win in this household!
