The hysterical over reaction on this board is astounding, tedious and so reflective of how spoiled and entitled some of you have become. The following chart shows the Saints have the seventh most wins in the league over the past 20 years which includes the Katrina season. This organization has generally kept the team in the top third of the league every season. The down years have been within one game of at least break even since 2006. Those power organizations today likely experienced a few 4 to 5 win seasons. The league quest for parity is designed for teams to experience each end of the spectrum, but the Saints have never fallen below the middle since the Loomis / Payton era began and even had some success during Haslett's tenure.

New England Patriots 321 227 94

Pittsburgh Steelers 321 205 114

Green Bay Packers 321 195 124

Baltimore Ravens 321 192 129

Indianapolis Colts 321 191 129

Seattle Seahawks 321 186 134

New Orleans Saints 321 184 137

Dallas Cowboys 321 183 138

Philadelphia Eagles 321 182 137

Kansas City Chiefs 321 181 140

Los Angeles Chargers 321 175 146

Minnesota Vikings 321 169 150

Denver Broncos 321 168 153

Atlanta Falcons 321 164 157

Cincinnati Bengals 320 159 157

Buffalo Bills 320 158 162

San Francisco 49ers 321 153 167

Tennessee Titans 321 152 169

Chicago Bears 321 151 170

Carolina Panthers 321 150 170

No shite. Payton and Brees account for at least 80% that. Check back in 20 years.

Wonder what % Brady accounts for the Patriots? Or Favre ? Rodgers for the Packers? Manning / Luck for the Colts? Jackson for the Ravens?

If you're too dense to realize how responsible a HoF qb and coach are for that (neither of which are here anymore) then I don't know what to tell you.

It's like some of you LIKE sucking and having a poorly run franchise and try to call out anyone who wants to be a better run organization.

Most of the issues on this board are with reckless spending and pushing money forward like we're still actual contenders (we're not) or dealing out future draft picks to chase a certain player... again like we're still actual contenders.

All the while employing one of the statistically worst coaches in the history of the NFL that we hired under the guise that we would keep the glory years going.

Sorry I don't feel like mortgaging the future of the franchise to get Dennis freaking Allen an extra win or two in his attempt at self preservation.

Now do the last two years.

I’ll answer for you. We are 14-18.

I think the only teams with a worse record the last two years will be the Panthers, Bears, Titans, Cardinals, Colts and Raiders.

FIRE DENNIS ALLEN!!!

You ask tough questions.
I bet no one knows how many winning seasons we had before 2006.

What a coincidence - that's rt3's exact same record yet nobody here is willing to try something different.

So because the team is 7th in wins over the past 20 years, fans shouldn’t voice their opinion about the shite show the past 2 seasons have been?

Did Payton ever have back-to-back seven-win seasons? I think he did.

2014 7-9
2015 7-9
2016 7-9

But I do approve of this message.

First of all, 7th is good but let’s not pretend that it’s elite. There’s only 32 teams.

Second, we’ve got 1 Suoer Bowl appearance and win. Also good but not elite.

Finally, what does that have to do with what we are facing at the moment. We are facing a total rebuild and can’t even begin the rebuild because it will take at minimum 2 years but probably 3 to 4 before we are in a good salary cap position.

IIRC, we were one of the top two or three winning teams from 2005-2000.

Correct. We have gotten to watch a SBowl, a competitive team etc.

I appreciate and love the Saints for if. My childhood watching the Saints was the opposite. We we horrible outside of Jim Mora’s best years which I was really young for.

This board is full of pussies, and fake couch gms who dont know shite.

When was this stat through, the end of last year? Because 8th, 9th, and 10th place have all passed us up this year. Would you have posted this next year when we’re 10th?
