WASHINGTON — The US and Mexico released a joint statement on the ongoing migration crisis Thursday that was heavy on platitudes and support for asylum-seekers, but mentioned no enforcement action to stop a record-breaking wave of illegal immigration — and even teased the prospect of amnesty for those already here unlawfully.

This has been the long term plan all along.

It is likely wishful thinking that there are enough honest politicians left with the stones to put a stop to it.

If they are getting benefits already without amnesty why do they need it?

To legally vote....

Why are we talking to Mexico about giving amnesty to millions of Guatemalans, Hondurans, Africans, Chinese, etc

Mexicans aren’t the issue

Again I ask the question, why does Mexico get no criticism for:

1) being a country that it's citizen want to leave? This is the mark of a failed state.
2) being a country that allows illegals from other countries to pass through unfettered to get to the United States.
3) failing to protect it's side of the border
4) having leadership that views the export of it's citizens to the United States as a valid social and economic plan

Tell the Democrats that "amnesty" means they can be no more than legal residence and never become actual citizens and they will scoot out of the convo like a phantom farter.

Frick mexico. They need some Gaza treatment.

Because they aren't a country built by immigrants like we were...oh wait...

Their immigration laws are way tougher than ours.

The answer really does lie in how anti-American Democrats are.

There's got to be some power behind Joe Biden's throne ... who is forcing our fair republic to allow itself to be invaded.

The Border should be there to protect We The People.

Our government must want us dead.

Why Mexico isn’t being held account table for letting all these foreigners cross their land to get to ours is a big issue. They are facilitating these people into our country. Actual Mexicans and not the issue it’s the rest of the worlds bums and criminals that make it to Mexico the just waltz in.

Mexico does not control our border. Neither do we, apparently.

This meeting is between two parties who both want an open border. Any agreement is gonna be horrible but made to look like 'a great step toward a comprehensive immigration policy.'

Ill offer amnesty if neither you leave and come back through the legal, natural channels. You, nor your children can ever receive taxpayer money. If you kids went to or currently attend public school, you will be charged tuition. If you have received taxpayer money, you must pay it back with interest.

The idea that the leader of a country would publicly complain that a neighboring country was making it too difficult for his citizens to flee his failed country is fricking peak clown world.

and support for asylum-seekers,

you don't cross several countries and borders for asylum. Most Mexicans could get lost by traveling a few hundred miles to never be seen again. They don't have to travel into another country altogether. If you are from a country other than Mexico and seeking asylum from issues, then stay in Mexico. You're clear of the dangers leading to you seeking asylum.

That commie bastard Obrador was also demanding concessions for Venezuela and Cuba as a condition for stopping the inflow.
