Yes and no. Lot of land was bought, even when it was illegal for Palestinians to sell it. Then once the kabutz were in place, Israeli forces would entice Syria to attack and would extend the borders.

It’s a yes and no answer. I could expound upon it, but it’s long and complicated.

Know how I know you know nothing about the history of that land? And that doesn't even consider the rights of conquest that every other country in the world has utilized.

No, kid. I’m dead on point.

This land belonged to the Jews going back thousands of years, including the West Bank. Jews have been there all this time. There is no such thing as a “Palestinian”, they’re Arabs, and the term “Palestine” comes from Greeks to describe a people (the Philistines) who ceased to exist well over two millennia ago. Arabs moved onto this land long after the Jews were already there. The only reason the name “Palestine” is even associated with this area is because the Romans wanted to insult the Jews who lived there after the Jews revolted against Roman rule. There is no historic connection between the Roman Provence of Syrian Palestine and the Arabs of the 21 century who live there today.

If you were not a stupid little shite again, I would not have to explain it to you again. You really should shut the frick up because you’re making a complete arse of yourself in this thread how truly ignorant of history you really are.

The Palestinians and the Jews are each others closest relative, genetically. The Palestinians are just the people who never left.

There’s actually limited admixture from other groups. They may be culturally Arab, but they’re not from the Arabian peninsula.

Wasn't that land British in 1946?

Yes.

The British Mandate for Palestine iirc, was the proposal that was put forth.

Have they been using Russian tactics of scooting the border up every so often? Yes. Anyone who says otherwise is willfully ignorant.

What’s willfully ignorant is acting like Israel takes land unprovoked. Every time Israel has taken land it’s been post war/skirmish where the PLO launched attacks from that land.

Mo Jeaux is accurate, for what it’s worth

If history is how we’re deciding what’s just, and who deserves what, the Palestinians are the people who’ve lived their as long as we can establish it. They have the same genetic linkage the Jewish population does to the land. They just never left.

Might makes right though, and populations have shifted over the millennia. By this logic should the Hungarians go back to Asia for example? Should we give America to the natives, the tribes we replaced are not the original ones though. They conquered the people who came before them.

Any settlement should take into account that the Jews are there, and aren’t leaving, and that the Palestinians need a state. And not because it’s right or moral, although it is, but because anything else will just lead to more wars, and more misery.

The Israelis will have to suck it up and give up their dreams of owning the West Bank (and much of Jordan too).

there is no genetic difference between someone from what is now Jordan, Syria, or what is now referred to as Palestinians. One thing we do know from ottoman census records is that the Arab population of Palestine exploded after the Zionism movement started revitalizing the region. There is no possible way to explain the massive Arab population increase in the area other than economic emigration from places like Syria. Genetics would tell you nothing about that as there is essentially no genetic difference between an Arab with a family that lived in Palestine for hundreds of years and an Arab who's family moved to Palestine in 1930
