How much more does he have to see. This team is a bunch of betas. He has to make some major moves. This team isn’t going anywhere

They've run it back because they've been trying to answer the question of how do these guys fit together ever since the CJ trade and this is the first stretch in like 2.5 years where they've been healthy enough to actually start getting answers. It is not surprising that we are finding one or more of the Big 4 and the coach may not be the best fit.

The tricky part is if I had to identify the biggest point of failure, it's often Zion not living up to his potential. That's not saying everything else fits perfectly, but if Zion isn't going to make FTs and avoid charges/turnovers in crunch time, it won't matter who you trade for.

Team will never go anywhere until Zion plays defense and is in shape.

It's year 5, if they're still in evaluation mode, our stars are destined to fail here.

Zion not living up to his potential

nor will he ever... there are GLARING holes in his game, and when his size and strength are negated by officiating, he's actually a huge liability... for example, he:

can't hit from mid range
can't hit from 3pt
can't consistently hit FTs
doesn't hustle for loose balls
doesn't play defense
waits too long to try to facilitate on kick outs and/or slasher in the paint

i think it's becoming very apparent that his bar was set way, way too high... a bar set by his athleticism and lack of actual proof of these holes in his game b/c of the limited participation due to injury throughout his career...

Well the dude they need to trade in Val this board had a melt when it was mentioned on here we where interested in Allen. Val is a major problem you know how hard it is to run offense when your center can't set a screen or on defense can't protect the rim. You know how many basket Memphis got because there bigs can set a screen or stops they got because there bigs can protect the rim

This is the first time since we signed CJ that we have been able to see a healthy roster for an extended period of time.

I think we will see some changes going forward now because the unknown is now known.

I highly doubt we will see changes with Gayle owning the team. You have Dennis Allen still as the head coach of the saints with one of the worst winning percentages in nfl history and he still has a job. Willie isn’t going any where unfortunately

I don't think there's that big of an issue with the roster.
We can and should make a trade in the next month to get a backup 4/5, get Kira out of here, and get under the tax.

There's no reason we shouldn't be a near 50 win team with a relatively healthy roster, which we've had for the most part.

Willie is a big problem it appears.

WHat is really frustrating to me is that we have endured the injuries and the growing up of our young squad, and finally should be in a position to be really good, and similar teams are way ahead of us.
1st place Minny.
Kings in the playoffs last year, will be again this year.
OKC looking like a playoff team (this one hurts).
Orlando looking very strong in just year 2 of Paolo, with basically zero veterans.

The Pels have a player with as much gravity as anyone else in the league besides Steph. They also have 2 3 level scorers in BI/CJ and 5 good-great 3 point shooters in BI/CJ/Trey/Hawk/Ryan. It's crazy to say, but Gentry would probably do better with this roster than Willie.

I get why Willie is focused on defense, but you really have to lean into your strength on offense and then figure out the rest. I was not a believer in Denver because I just didn't think the defense was good enough, but they know who they are and what makes them go and they lean into it. The Pels need a coach that can do the same.

Imagine owning two different multi-billion dollar companies and being afraid to fire anyone lol. Thanks Gayle!

We’ve seen how good they can be when Zion is clicking. That’s what is frustrating.
