I believe that one symptom of possible serious psychosis is animal torture. It would be hyperbolic though to suggest that a thumbs down reply to the post about 50 lbs of dog food is tantamount to animal torture or abuse.

yep, I also think people that cant bond with an animal are sociopaths.

I love my cat I’m a different breed of sociopath

Some people see that as a sign of “look at me, look at what I do good,” instead of seeing that as an action to emulate.
Unfortunately, in the time of social media where so many people do things just for the likes and clout online, it’s easy to see why people are cynical.
I don’t like it any more than you do as I try to lead by example of doing good deeds as well, but it is what it is. Never stop doing good because bad people mock. That just means you’re on the right side.

It's easy to see these donation type stores are making big money. It seems to be doing people a service but sometimes you gotta look deeper. I do donate to them but I always look for better ways to donate all the time.

There's nothing "possible" about that type of symptom being evidence of serious psychopathy.
It's one of the major indicators - which can show itself as early as the childhood years - and no, they don't grow out of it.
The post said "hints" of psychopathy - is that enough of a qualifier?
The successful writer Ian Fleming had that dysfunction all the way from childhood.
Writing was part of his regimen to sublimate and channel his sadistic tendencies elsewhere.

So, no job.
Sounds like you do as little work as possible.
Hypocrite.

I'm not surprised you'd have a problem with such decent people.

Horribly rude and ungrateful to volunteers..

I hardly think 50 pounds of dog food qualifies for a "Look at me".

Maybe that group is worthy of its own thread? This one is about the ASPCA that bombards our TV and tugs at our hearts with its phony ads about helping animals around Christmas time. All to raise funds to make the leaders richer.

The California Humane Society actually filed suit against the ASPCA due to the Sarah McLaughlin commercial. Supposedly all money donated at the advertised number went to the New York chapter and not local ones.
Our local SPCA is a massive facility that takes care of a lot of dogs and cats, etc and has a great foster program. Ive been there and have no problem donating to the local chapter.

We give to the local shelter only. We change the channel when their ad comes on.

The same thing is true for this.
I did a deep dive on it a few years ago and started a thread about it on the OT. It's a scam, and their statistics are fake

They sound like many other organizations. Most funds go to administrators and staff salaries, and the little that’s left might go to the cause.
