There is always development. The Nuss of 2025, assuming he stays, will be MUCH better than Nuss of 2024. What that means in numbers idk

Are you mad about one quarter against Georgia state? If you’re suggesting he should have gotten in during sec games, you need to take a step back. Backups don’t play regardless of score in conference play. This isn’t high school or a participation trophy program.

You can hang that up. He’s a projected first rounder.

Nuss is Jarrett Lee part 2 (so far) Nuss does not have the mojo to stand in the pocket, take a hit and deliver the ball. He runs as soon as he sees pressure. hopefully that changes

It’s almost like some of you didn’t watch what Nuss did to the eventual national champion UGA last year, throwing for 300 yards in a half against them. Nuss will be great.

Georgia was blowing us out. They started to relax. Also, they prepared for Daniels, not Nuss. If Nuss had started the game, and Georgia knew it a week before, they would have curb stomped Nuss. That Georgia team was far better than LSU, and it would have taken a lot more than a QB to be competitive.

It’s not just about the QB, it’s also about the O line. Our O line will be elite next year. Nuss will have more time to go through progressions.

Other teams were afraid to blitz because of Daniels rushing abilities, they preferred having a player or two spy him. They are going to come after Nuss. We are going to see how well he and LSU’s Oline can handle that sort of pressure.

I would think he may have some growing pains early but should settle in and have a good year. One problem may be having a couple very reliable WR’s that can consistently get open/separation and make contested catches.

It’s almost like some people don’t realize that Georgia had taken their foot off the gas. Nuss was still impressive but let’s not pretend that Georgia was coming after him full speed. The game was out of hand.

I do believe he can be very very good and I will be pulling for him. I think he’ll be fun to watch next year.

Who said anything at all about conference play? We had several cupcakes on the schedule that should have were blowouts. This is where you get other guys who are not starters playing time for experience. Everybody knows this except for maybe, you. I have been watching the tigers probably longer than most on here have been alive. So no, I wont take a step back . All i said is there was plenty opportunities there for experience time, which would have helped for the coming season.Let me ask you ,how did that work out for us? The reliquest bowl against a 7-5 team? The season was a good one but was never gonna be no more than it is because of a terrible defense.

He doesn't have the WR's the other two had. Or experienced RB's.

Nuss will be great, only if he is able to be consistent. Daniels and Burrow were both consistent game after game.

They were both consistent in their 2nd year as starters.

Their first season Burrow had a stretch of about 5 games without a TD pass and JD had bad outings vs Arkansas, Auburn and A&M.

Nuss does have the advantage of being with the same coaches and scheme the last 2 years so I am expecting something between their first year and 2nd year performances for Nuss next season.

I know for certain that you didn't post this with a straight face.

LSU fans in the stands have a lot they can do to help Nuss' situation and not do during his learning process.

They were both learning new offenses and acclimating to new programs. I expect more from a guy who has been in the program. Doesn’t mean I’ll get it.

Did you forget the Florida State game the past two years, or the first half of the Arkansas game?

Burrow had his hiccups in his first year as a starter. Do you not remember the pick six late in the Florida game that cost us a chance to win?

I expect us to be winners but I also don't expect Nuss to perform like Burrow or Daniels Heisman years. He will have all new receivers, first year starters. Non of them are proven.

We have no real idea how he will do if he’s the starter. Jayden Daniels has 7 interceptions as an LSU tiger - out of 715 attempts

Do you know the number of starts Daniels had prior to LSU? How many interceptions did Daniels have in the year prior to LSU?.

You expect more from someone in his first year starting than a guy who was in his 4th year starting?

Crazy to me that you mention that the “garbage time” yardage Nuss had against Georgia means nothing but you bring up his interceptions as if they mean something. In the past, he clearly made worse decisions because he was trying to impress coaches with tight window throws. He probably won’t be as good as Daniels but let’s not pick and choose which stats do and don’t matter

How can you judge him against them. They played whole seasons, he barely played.

Frankly I am more concerned about the defense.
