Judge Nuss like 2018 Burrow and 2022 Daniels or expect more?

On one hand we need to be fair to Nuss in his first year starting. But he also has been learning this offensive system for two years.

Nuss should know it well and be able to perform well enough to get LSU in the 12 team playoff. We’ll certainly know more if Nuss starts in LSU’s bowl game.

It’s almost like some of you didn’t watch what Nuss did to the eventual national champion UGA last year, throwing for 300 yards in a half against them. Nuss will be great.

Nuss will be great, only if he is able to be consistent. Daniels and Burrow were both consistent game after game.

It’s not just about the QB, it’s also about the O line. Our O line will be elite next year. Nuss will have more time to go through progressions.

We need to get another QB out the portal i don't trust Nuss dude is careless with the ball and if our defense doesn't improve we are going to be terrible

Would be great if Thomas Jr stayed, and part of our Dline. Players have until January 15 to declare for the NFL draft.

Nuss may or may not be good, but it amazes me how many in the fanbase think that half against Georgia when the game was out of hand actually means anything. He has played in other games and it hasn’t been impressive. We have no real idea how he will do if he’s the starter. Jayden Daniels has 7 interceptions as an LSU tiger - out of 715 attempts - Nuss has 6 ints out of 174 attempts. I hope he’s good because I respect that he has stayed with the program, but I’m not under the delusion that a garbage time half means anything.

I expect there to be growing pains with not only him, but whoever the WRs are. Just hopefully they are on the same page enough to beat USC

JD became more consistent throughout his LSU career. He was the opposite of consistent last year.

Will be third year in this offense. That’s a huge deal for a young QB. But I’d expect him to struggle some early and hopefully start playing pretty well by end of the year. I just hope he’s slightly more mobile than I’m afraid he is.

-Burrow was a mental assassin with above average physical tools

-JD was a athletic freak whose tools made him unstoppable.

-Nuss is physically toolsy enough to keep this QB train humming. Can he become an elite decision-maker and can his skill guys make him better?

This is what next year will come down to if Nuss is the guy.

Burrow beat Ga in his first year starting for LSU. Daniels beat Ala in his first year here too. But their schedules are nothing like LSU’s next year. Starts with USC and ends with playing Oklahoma.

What Nuss doesnt have is a lot of game time experience that he could have gotten this season but the coach was too busy padding stats for a certain player.

I think I will judge Nuss exactly the same as I judged Burrow and Daniels in their first year of starts, because I had no idea how either of them would perform either. I think we can all agree that the bar has been raised for quarterbacks at lsu and Nuss will have a tough time measuring up to that. Hopefully we can get the running game going to take some of the pressure off the passing game.

Daniels also had over 700 attempts before going to LSU for his 4th and 5th year as a starter.

Burrow and Nuss situations are much more similar than Nuss and Daniels. Daniels had close to 3 years as a starter. Obviously it wasn’t at LSU but you can’t act like Burrow/Nuss situations are the same as Daniels.

We got stopped inside the UGA 20 on a 4th and 1 that would've cut it to 35-24 in the 3rd Quarter had we scored. Not quite a blowout like many on here make it out to be.

Weird considering their starters were in until late in the 4th. That's fact not your opinion. Go with the other clowns and claim "Georgia wasn't trying".
