I ran into him in the Barnes and Noble (Bluebonnet) parking lot a few weeks ago. I parked and was walking in the middle of the parking lot in front of the entrance. He walked straight up to me and asked for some help. He was taller than a thought he would be. I just said "Hey you're Kevin aren't you?" He said his name was Joseph without skipping a beat. It was him. I laughed and kept going. He didn't respond. I really regretted not being a smartass, but didn't see him when I was leaving. It was kinda dark but he did look "unbummish" with maybe a polo shirt and jeans.
If he's doing this for drugs he's holding up pretty well through the years. Surprised I ran into him there with families and younger people. Plus they have some security, thought he only worked gas stations.

10 yrs ago yea but not really the case anymore. The OT is great for 411 on anything local to Louisiana from rumors of corruption to the best auto repair shops.

I don’t agree with people scamming other people or taking advantage of others for whatever reason. However, there are many people who actually need help. It’s always better to give to organizations that provide that help on a regular basis to people that need it and I usually adhere to that. You never know, and sometimes you need to rely on a gut feeling. Trust your gut.

He came up to me at the Racetrac on Greenwell Springs. Saw my work uniform and acted like he was in the same industry and just wanted to shoot the shite about it for a minute. Then he gave me the gas/wallet story. I told him i didn’t have any cash and he asked me to CashApp or Venmo him. Just shook my head slowly and got back in my car. ETA i drive around several parishes a lot and get approached by someone almost daily. I don’t give to any parking lot approachers ever.

No, he approached me at Walmart on Siegen Lane. Luckily, I did not give him anything. Another time he approached me at the college drive exit ramp. He said his car broke down. I told him he tried to scam me once before, and he just threw a hand up and walked away.
