The disrespect to nuss is appalling smh...I'm all for nuss being the guy in 2024. But he does need someone to come in and push him

Read a week or so ago someone posted about Zona’s Fifita transferring and LSU is a hot possibility. Haven’t seen anything since. That’s the QB to take imo. Has anyone seen anything else on him?

Moore would be a great option to transfer in a compete with Nuss. Best portal option so far.

He's a redshirt freshman and Fisch's hand-picked QB. I can't believe he would leave a starting position to go compete somewhere else. I would be shocked if he enters the portal. I think that was just someone wishcasting.

Also, he's like 5-9.

Only way Collins gets on the field is an absolute emergency! Otherwise he never plays a down.

Can Walker Howard defect to a Division 2 school somewhere so he can finally make the starting lineup?

For a four star QB, that’s insane if it comes to fruition. As of now, Nuss has proven nothing other than he’s not ready to take the reins. Yes, he has a hell of an arm and is beautiful in pregame warmups but nobody’s rushing him or defending the guy catching his passes. In real game action all I’ve seen from him is 50/50 quality play. Half the time he throws the ball way too far past the receivers and half the time he’s on the money.

Certainly nothing to justify claiming Collin’s never sees the field. Now if Bryce Underwood comes to LSU, that just adds more speculation and competition.

Not saying Nuss isn’t good, though. I’m just saying there’s no reason to write off any 4-star quarterback currently on our roster given what little we’ve seen from Nuss so far.

He absolutely should be a take as long as it doesn’t run off Underwood which I don’t think it would at all

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. You don't pass on a player with Moore's upside in this portal cycle for an out of state 2025 player who isn't even committed to us. On top of that, Moore is also a Michigan kid that could help us with Underwood.

Good/great players aren't coming here without a guarantee to start Lester

Dante Moore has basically said he'd be ok being a backup for a year. Just wants to go where he will develop and grow as a player.

Walker Howard is an easy target, and that's his fault, so I have no sympathy.

However, his transfer to Ole Miss will prove to be a smart transfer. He will be the backup to a senior next year, rather than being the backup to a junior at LSU with perhaps the nation's No.1 QB coming in to compete with him.

Kelly doesn't guarantee anyone a starting job, just the opportunity to compete for 1.

This is about proven players with limited eligibility left. Lester understands they'd have to be guaranteed and already acknowledged it. Yet still takes jabs about "hurting Nuss' feelings". It's so childish. Beyond the lack of competition in such scenario it precludes ever starting a high school recruit. There will always be QBs in the portal and if you just assume they're better and hand them the job based on experience you'd never start anyone who isn't a transfer. It's really just about dislike for Nuss and daydreams of another transfer turned heisman.

This is exactly what you're saying and it's clown shite. Collins was a joke of a backup option who will never see the field. Nuss has proven himself against the number 1 defense in the country.

No, it’s not. What’s wrong with letting the competition play out and going with whoever is the best quarterback?

Weird thing I never said. You explicitly said Nuss hasn't proven himself and looked bad when given opportunities. Nonsense, but that is explicitly saying he isn't good. As is in any way insinuating that RS freshman Collins who most don't even want as the backup option might have a shot to beat him out and start over him.
