Cannot believe the announcers are blowing Mike Gundy over that. It's not "brilliant." It's fricking gay

Horrible clock management
No...Texas was set with 20 seconds left and the ref stood over the ball until 1 second left...this will be addressed in the off-season.
The play clock should have been reset to 10 seconds.

I like giving the opportunity to sub, but that it can drive the offense into a delay of game is BS. There needs to be something that the offense has until 25 on the play clock to sub and the defense has until 5 seconds to sub, the the ump steps off.

Hell... the ump didn't step back until the clock was going from 1 to 0. How in the world is that delay of game on the Offense... shouldn't it have been on the defense for subbing so late? Makes zero sense.

This sucks both games being halftime at the same time. Should have had one of the lesser games kickoff at 1:00.

Saw Ewers stats and thought damn I missed the Texas game. Only to see it’s for 1 half.

I was talking about when it looked like Gundy didn’t call a timeout with 17 seconds left.
The other situation is a dumb rule that needs to be changed.

Never liked UT. But can’t help but like Sark. He won the battle many have never won (at least so far). And although Saban is an SEC nemesis, I give him props for giving Steve a chance. Probably saved his life.

The refs should simply give them the opportunity to sub. Once the ref thinks they have had that opportunity, the ball is ready for play
I think the refs are actually mismanaging the actual rule

This one kid got hosed in the Dr Pepper shootout and should be suing Dr Pepper for his 100k

Or once the ref stands over the ball...pause the play clock...and when he gets away...start it again.

There needs to be a set time. Refs are changing it for each occasion. Guys are being helped by walking onto the field instead of jogging on.
