Looking back, who was a teacher you hated…..

but now that you are older, you can truly appreciate and understand why he/she was the way they were…
For me it was my Trig teacher in high school. Dude was a coach but also certified to teach any high school or college math. He was loud and strict and could be rude and an a-hole, but the man could flat out teach his arse off. He made us work our asses off and didn’t put up with shite.
I actually kinda miss his class.
Hope you’re doing well Coach B

I like this post better stopping at a teacher that I hated. Mr. Huggins, 4th grade, M.E.Norman, Morgan City.

My basketball coach also taught philosophy.

Mrs. Arney
Nobody could really hate her cause she was very sweet woman but I turned in a paper for a final that she gave me a zero on because she said that there was no way I had written it...but I had.

Dr. Devireddy - Thermo
He would stop his entire lecture to give you a death stare if you were a single minute late to a 5 day a week 7AM class. Required the textbook in class as well. Incredibly good lectures that were engaging. No homework, but quizzes on Fridays. However his tests were just insane. Would stay in the room from 7 pm to midnight just to finish a test that was 4 problems. The final I remember vividly staying from 5 to midnight. Then he would grade them hard as hell.. way over half the class dropped/failed.
However, his class taught me how to study and problem solving that no other class had done until then. It was a huge wake up call early in college on how to go about the harder engineering classes.

Moorthy had the easiest grading system ever though that’s hilarious

Eight Grade Math Teacher, Mr. Merritt. Hope he's doing well today.

I don't know if I have a specific teacher for this thread, but looking back I don't really hate any of my teachers at this point. And I have decent-to-great memories of most of them. I'm sure I hated some of them in the moment, but looking back I think I was blessed with some pretty solid teachers.

Don’t really think about any of them to tell you the truth.

Yeah looking back the material itself could be confusing but he was very lenient with partial credit. To the point where you could get a step wrong but carry it forward and get credit for the correct process after. I was civil so I never had thermo to deal with like you guys

I had a teacher in high school who legit tried to intentionally fail me by throwing out my assignments and giving me zeros for work I turned in. I started photocopying my homework in the library each morning and had the librarian date them - to have physical proof that I had the work that he claimed I did not.
I ended up having to get my parents and administrators involved and at the end of the day he never admitted to throwing out my assignments but changed my grade from an F to a B once he was confronted by my parents and questioned by the principal.
He likely didn’t like me because I was a jackass who disrupted the class with class clown shenanigans. In retrospect, I was obnoxious and I get why he did not like me - but it was really distressing that a teacher was trying to fail me intentionally. That’s some scary shite when you are still technically a kid.
I did not like him and there was a period of time where I wished bad things on him. He retired a couple years after I graduated and died a couple years after that.

I was a long way from home and went to work for this lonely widow woman who was hellbent to make it on her own. There was never a summer I learned so much

AP English.
I won’t say I hated her but she was unkind and unlikeable but she took AP as meaning best of best and she was unmerciful. Ruined my GPA for a few semesters combined with Algebra 2.
I could tell what she was doing at the time but I didn’t like.
Mrs. Grotti, you’re the GOAT.
