Elongated strides are not better suited for walking or running. More proof that "scientists" are dumb asses.

The wider hips of a woman also are an advantage, a physiological study published in American Anthropologist found. Likely an adaptation to aid in childbirth, they also allow women to rotate more when walking or running, which elongates the stride, making movement more efficient.

I would probably put more faith in these findings if this bit actually gives modern women any type of advantage in physical tasks. It doesn't, and it is proven every day.

Wonder if the paper addresses the fact that the top 99% of marathon runners and triathletes are male. We haven't genetically evolved from the time frame in question.

The female hormone, she says

Oh, a female scientist? Shocking.

Although female lions are pretty awesome hunters, so maybe there’s something to it? Or do they hunt basically because the males just don’t want to and spend their energy protecting the pride..?

Then why are women so far behind men in every walking or running sport? What about heart and lung capacity? Nothing but pseudo-intellectual babble in articles like these.

female hormone, she says, is “really the unsung hero” as it better modulates how quickly a person burns their energy reserves and delays fatigue.

Yep, this is why they dominate men's times in endurance sports to this day.....

Again, the higher efficiency and better at conserving energy. It's fact as shown by all world records...

She admits her intent.

Academia is a wasteland now. Human progress will suffer for it bc “research” is now devoted to pushing woke agendas instead of…actual research.

The author is a woke feminist pushing the usual toxic woke agenda. She’s also a power lifter. Although I doubt she competes against men despite her hormone and wide hips.

There's still debate over humans and human ancestors being hunters or scavengers for most of their existence, let alone which sex(es) did what activities. And the second study mentioned in the article makes the assumption that those injuries came from humans being the hunters and not the hunted. Silliness.
