Switching balls in winter

Recently saw where switching to a lower compression ball in winter was suggested. Makes sense….. wondering if anyone does this?

I don't switch balls, because I want them to have the same reaction around the greens.
However, I do bring my clubs in the house if I am playing the next morning. That way everything starts out warm. Ill keep 2 extra balls wrapped in a towel inside my bag.
The lower compression is an interesting idea though.

I don’t think it makes much of any difference. The greens react differently in winter, so do the fairways. Truth is we’re just trying to endure it till it warms up

Yup.
Switching to a slightly lower compression in the cooler weather works for me. Most notably with the irons.
Chip shots around the greens may not grab as well, but I like the trade off.

I have tried it. It felt a bit easier on my hands but then I went to Vice Pro balls and feel comfortable playing them all year round.

I switch in the fall winter to a ProV1 yellow. Much easier to see my ball in the leaves. Keep a ball in your pocket and switch it out so youre hitting a warm ball. Only for regular fun play, not tournament obviously.

I use Bridgestone and Taylor made in cooler weather.
Titleist and Taylor made in warmer.
I just noticed a difference when playing, especially distance.

Yep, ordering a dozen of Snell MB blacks. Look’em up.

I tuck 2 balls into my underwear when I play... keeps the other two marbles company
