I’m finally starting to see what this bullshite chatter about boosters meddling means.

That would be a shame if true. I would much rather be told that Stoops just preferred to stay at UK.

This is literally the first I’m hearing of any Aggies being anti-Elko.

I will say prominent Buckeyes want Day gone. If they can hire Vrabel, Day is toast.

Elko wasn’t super popular but was nowhere the vitriol Stoops had. Once it was obvious Stoops was going to require a massive deal it became toxic.

I would think if Stoops was truly offered the job, Fisch and Elko have already turned it down.

Day would take a massive deal but I think he’s worth it.

It’s going to be ERob - basically the entire team threatened to transfer. I think you give him a three year contract and see if he can be your Dabo

Fisch hasn’t even been interviewed face to face. Was supposed to happen tonight before Bjork tried to shoehorn Stoops in.

elko is veiwed as a safe hire with a low cieling but high floor and the losing duke did after their qb went down hurt his stock in the eys of people

fisch is being veiwed as a hire with a higher cieling and is a new shiny toy that has put together some wins and has arizona ranked as high as they have been since the mid 90s

thats pretty much it

it sounds like nothing is reliable at this point. Probably just a bunch of people are drunk tweeting at midnight.

I suspect A&M is trying to limit guaranteed money after Jimbo, and potential HCs aren't willing to take a low-ball guarantee offer.

E-Rob is about to Orgeron his way into the job isn't he?

Stoops is playing the role of Tom Herman's (except LSU fans actually wanted Herman)

Hey we got a Natty out of our D-line to player beloved big energy culture changing interim head coach.

PS...don't let players who are gone in a couple years dictate your hires because they're emotionally invested in a guy they know.

I've been perusing their 247 board to see who they want and the majority really do not want Elko.

I can't figure out why.

Got any a them generational quarterbacks laying around? That'd really match the situations up nicely

I know y’all hate them but it’s a huge reason Texas hasn’t been worth a shite until this year. Their boosters always meddle with everything.

It was a big reason Alabama had issues until Saban came in and put everyone in line. A&M has to get an AD and coach in there that is going to run things their way and not be afraid to call the booster’s bluff when they try to run over them.

Hiring the guy the players want works every time.

Y’all will get it together eventually but Bjork isn’t the guy to do it I don’t think. Going behind everyone’s back is such a cowardly way to do things and you will lose all respect from fans, booster, administrators, everyone when you do stuff like that.

Doesn’t it seem like the story has just taken so many twists and turns? I can’t tell if it was the fans who revolted, the players revolted, or Stoops declined.

He was hired to handle Jimbo and couldn't do that. I don't understand why he's even been entrusted to lead this but he's not long for the position after this I think. If he can get Elko locked in and he succeeds perhaps
