Amazing! Best pizza I’ve had in Louisiana. Anyone else tried it yet?

Where’s it at?

Is it where Cravin used to be?

Yes, behind hooters.

Every time I’ve been by there they are closed. Unless they haven’t opened yet when I went back the last couple of weeks.

More details. What makes it retro? What kind of crust? Kind of sauce? Toppings quality? How they cook it?

Looks like the same menu as the last 3 or 4 that have been in the same place over the last 3 or 4 years.

Cheese pizza for 16 bucks? How big is that?

OP, you gotta give us a better sales pitch than that!

Sorry, was out of pocket for a few days. Talked to the owner for a bit and I could tell he was a pizza enthusiast. He was the one making the pizzas as well.

It is NY style pizza. Thin crust. Not sure what kind of mozzerella or cheese blend he is using, but it is very good. Closest thing I've had to NY style in Louisiana. Crust was cooked to perfection for my liking, which is a little char and crisp.

Must be. The owner appears to be the same person as the owner of Cravin Pizza.

Had it for lunch today. Pretty stale place in a Denham shopping center, toppings are the same you’d expect from the big chains. The crust was superb though, and overall, the pizza was really good. There’s some serious potential here, but my gut is we won’t see it. But I’m pulling for em.

What does “ground beer” taste like? How do they make it?

They post their hours on their Facebook page. We went a few weeks back and enjoyed it, they do the whole "Northeast" style with flat pies and almost burnt crust crust throughout. It's decent but gf wasn't a fan of the sauce.

By far the best pizza in the BR area is Pizza Place in Watson, their pizza is crack. Best you'll find in the state besides Delicious and Zee's in NOLA imo.

That menu reminds me of the old Mama Rosa's pizza and movie place back in Denham 4+ decades ago. Bad pizza, but the best 'arcade' we had back then.

In the Baton Rouge area?

Probably Red Zeppelin and Rocca depending on what kind of mood I'm in. I also like Bistro Italia but feel it is undercooked most of the time.
