Is homeschooling the next hill to die on for liberals in America?

I ask this after watching one of my favorite podcasts, Lotus Eaters, brought it up recently, and I think this is a major stumbling block to full out indoctrination of children to affect the change they really want to see in America. You can’t very well have a functioning propaganda machine and have dissent the likes of homeschooling to get in the way of changing/corrupting/manipulating/controlling American hearts and minds.
What do you think? How high up is this on the liberal elitist priority list?

Home schooling is based af...

What do you think they would or could do?
And what about private schools?

They don’t need everybody; they just need a majority of voters. Once they consistently get that they will gradually strip us of our rights. If those home schooled people object they will end up in prison like the Jan 6 folks.

We had to fight to keep it legal in Louisiana in the ‘80s and ‘90s. And “they” are always trying to add regulations.
Hopefully there is a critical mass now that would make prohibition unpalatable.
Somewhat related:
I just got property tax bills yesterday. I always barf at how much of my money goes to public schools my kids will never attend. (And I didn’t attend public school after first grade.)

You act like parents who homeschool don’t have to follow a governed curriculum.

They are not subject to everything that public schools push . My daughter is in a Christian private school and they don’t take most scholarships because of the rules that come with them . I wouldn’t think home schooled kids would be subject to the lefts crazy school rules either.

California tried to outlaw homeschooling a few years ago. I don't know if the measure succeeded.

Their plan, and they’re executing it perfectly, is to make it so expensive to own a home or just live that both parents have to work so much we do t have time to homeschool our kids.

depends on the state, most states have very little regulations

Before the pandemic, some California liberals were talking about criminalizing home schooling as child abuse.

Yep, that’s a broad term that can be applied wherever you like if you build the case that it is child abuse, and people being so easily led, I can see that grabbing a hold eventually.

They don't even really need that. They just need us to think they have the majority. In other words, they need control of the media and the election apparatus, which they already have.

I took yearly standardized tests and then the GED as soon as they’d let me. 15 or 16. All of which are a joke.
I think we had to turn in some sort of reports too but anyone could just make that crap up.
This was mid-80s to 91.

It is a white privilege thing ... only a matter of moments

Well considering the lessons literally come from the mouth of the parent, they'd probably omit a thing or two. Or throw it in the trash

How would homeschooling in this scenario be any different than private schools?

Maybe it isn’t, and maybe they are a target as well. I don’t know, but I do know that it stands in the way of a people who think they know what’s best for your children, ahem the state’s children, and I don’t think it can stand, especially if the numbers keep growing as they have recently. They can’t afford to lose control over young people’s minds. Their power depends upon it.
