YouTube university.
Not a joke.
There are awesome videos that will be like 1/2/3/4 of 4 videos that are an hour long. They will tell you every single thing you need to know and show you how to physically do it on the software application.
Same goes for stuff like quick books

Udemy. It’s cheap and better than a random YouTube video. You can take all sorts of online classes in there for less than $20

Yeah. If just a beginner tutorial, YouTube should be perfect adequate.
ETA: There's a state government jobs department that frequently puts these kinds of basic computer classes on in MS. Might look for something similar.

There are probably a lot on youtube. I forgot how to do something in Access awhile back and just looked on youtube and found some video. There were all types of videos available Access- The Basics, Access- Beyond the basics, etc, etc..
Also, Excel is pretty easy, don't overlook the help option on the spreadsheet.
He can probably ask AI to provide him with the basics of Excel.
I have this website bookmarked, its 15 most common functions of Excel

I would actually have him learn google sheets first, then excel will be very easy for him to learn after learning google sheets
