BRProud

Everyone is feeling this.

“The recent economic downturn. Cost of goods have just increased dramatically by over 50% on a lot of things. So, you know, our profitability was just down. Our sales, then, went down as well,” said Geiger.

Cypress brewing in the same building doesn't seem to be struggling.

Geiger says they’re not the only business in the area struggling to keep the lights on.

Place was overpriced and average at best, especially when you can go to authentic taco places and they are $2.00, maybe $2.50
The place behind Home Depot on Coursey off Cedarcrest is amazing. The barbacoa tacos with the consume, is maybe the best taco I ever had .

Their service was atrocious the one time I went which is why it was just one time. The woman taking orders at the counter had a terrible attitude and was bad mouthing customers right to their faces. You really have to vet your employees, especially front line ones.

The Biden administration keeps tell us the economy has improved and inflation is down. They keep telling the American people that we just don’t realize how good we have it.

I've never understood the Jay D. hype. Nice enough dude, but more of a marketer than chef. Couldn't stand him on evening radio either.

Allegedly Jay D and cohorts are going to sue the broadcasting company they sold their NIL(persona) to.

Apparently over the lease contract with the broadcast company.

He thinks he has a case but I don’t think he realizes that he can get tied up in litigation until he’s drained.

Not surprised, this is what happens when the government becomes involved.

When it opened in White Star it was good. Loved the chicken thigh taco.

It went into a straight nosedive as soon as they moved.

At the end of the day it is just a taco stand that created too much overhead for itself

I love the idiots on this thread turning standard “this is why we failed” statements into political shite flinging. Yes, inflation sucks. Is that Biden’s fault? Sure. Is it his alone? Absolutely not. At minimum, the last four presidential administrations have been spending like drunken sailors on shore leave.

And does any of this have anything to do with GT closing? Almost certainly not. The food was… fine? But it was expensive, the inside had a weird dark ambience, the tent outside was just sad, and the service was shite. I drive past it frequently, and I don’t remember the last time I saw it “busy”. Yet, most of the other restaurants in the area are packed. It’s a failed restaurant. Happens all the time. Hopefully something interesting takes its place.

Lots of restaurants will continue to close. They can only raise prices so high, or cut portions so much before customers decide it’s not worth it. Eating out is a treat and not a necessity.

Went once. Overpriced small portions.

I think I just prefer cheap food truck tacos like they were intended to be served.
