Some of you are absolute miserable human beings and part of society's problem.

Even attempting to defend the POS thief puts you (and Taxman for that matter) in the same category.

Hope ya'll find the boat, Belly. I have my pawpaw's boat, so I know how I would feel if someone stole it, and I haven't even put as much money into fixing it up as he has.

FYI. these are not designed to track stolen items. If the person who stole your item has an iPhone their iPhone will alert them that an apple air tag is “following” them and tell them right where it is.

This is to prevent people from putting an air tag on someone’s purse or car for the purpose of tracking them without their knowledge.

They are designed to track lost items, not stolen.

What are you talking about? I didnt know the boat had sentimental value. I'm not defending the thief, I hope they get the baws boat back. All I was saying is that at least it wasnt a damn tuna boat. I also said that this can be prevented with a lock, and all of these Mow Rons said you can grind off a hitch lock. They arent going to grind off the lock when the damn boat is next to your house. Thats all I was saying.

Mayberry is the only place I know of where thieves wouldn't do such a thing.

I’m assuming you had the HIN (if it had one) and engine serial number to give to the police?

I can tell you from experience that if it is put on the backside of a trailer, it rarely, if ever notifies.

Think about it- if there was one in an adjacent car on the interstate, your phone would ding all the time.

Second- if it does alert, you think a thief is going to spend any time at all looking for the tag? They will drop it and abandon it as quick as the message pops up.

I can not begin to say how grateful we are to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office and the anonymous tipsters that help us recover Dylan’s boat and motor today. It is cut up and stripped but it is home. We will begin the job of getting back up and running soon. Thank you to everyone that shared and took the time looking for us also.

Just to let some of y’all know, yes we will be spending more money on his boat to get it back up and running. So it will be even more expensive than it looked before.

Anonymous tipster. The trash that stole it is hated by everyone and is known for stealing crap. There was never enough to arrest him for but it seems like his time has run out.

Glad you got it back. Curious how it got stolen in the first place? No lock on the trailer hitch?

I have never put a lock on any of my boat trailers. A man should have a right of expectation that it won’t be stolen.

All a lock on a trailer does is keep an honest man honest.

Fair, but that’s not grounded in reality. Glad young baw got his boat back. Look forward to seeing it restored to its former glory . It’ll be even more sentimental now.
