And Cam only had 2 seasons in his entire career over 90 passer rating. Allen is about to have his 4th in 6 years…..Real comparable

This board is full retard with Josh Allen, it’s weird

I guess it’s good I didn’t compare their ability then, isn’t it?

the Cam Newton road. Great until he falls off of a cliff because his body breaks down from a culmination of hits.

This is also a myth. There is no evidence players that get “hit” aka getting tackled more have shorter careers. For every Earl Campbell or whoever you want to throw at me I can counter with a LaDainian Tomlinson.
Age wears players down. Injuries can of course cut a players career short but it’s not due to cumulative hits.

There is no evidence that QBs getting sacked more get hurt more.

So then why do running backs have such a short shelf life?

Dude is seriously arguing that hits and injuries don’t shorten players’ careers.

Allen will more likely go down the Cam Newton road. Great until he falls off of a cliff because his body breaks down from a culmination of hits.
Newton fell if a cliff because he couldn’t actually pass, hence only two seasons in a career over 90 passer rating. Allen has already doubled that. They aren’t the same, yet you compared them….

How do you explain the plight of RBs? They completely have shorter lifespans than other positions, all based on collisions/contact

No, I didn’t.

Newton averaged 110 rushes per season. Allen averages 109 per season. Both take/took too many big hits as well. Newton played in at least 14 games in each of his first 8 seasons and then his body broke down.

Allen is undoubtedly better, but they have a very rushing style. So, it’s more likely Allen follows that career arc with regards to injuries, rather than Burrow’s. Which is what I said in the first place.

Well one is a fierce leader that wills his teams to success even when not 100% as he actually plays through injury. He’s the reason his teams have played for and won championships.

The other is a pampered bitch boy incapable of being a leader that had to be dragged to a championship by a far superior player. He’s also nearly missed as much time with minor injuries as time played

The first complaint in here about his OL is from a bama fan you retard

What the frick does that matter? The fact is, the Bengals OL has never been the unmitigated disaster LSU fans keep repeating to themselves as if it was part of a catechism. I remember Swamptards blaming Jeaux's worst on Jonah Williams until they had their noses rubbed in the facts like a puppy that just shite on the carpet that Jonah was actually league average or better in pass pro. But we're still assured the Cincy OL is getting him killed when they are actually 5th best in pressure rates.

the gymnastics to downplay Burrow.

Came back so quick from a season ending injury his rookie season to lead the Bengals of all team to the Super Bowl in his second year. Takes his team to the AFC Champ third year.

Yeah he’s Anthony Davis

Injuries are almost always freak. There's very few players you can accurately label as "injury prone". Sample size is always way too small.

Joe Burrow has played in 59 of 75 possible Bengals games (projected to end of 2023 season)

2020 - 10
2021 - 20 (4 playoff games)
2022 - 19 (3 playoff games)
2023 - 10

That is 78.7% of possible games.

Anthony Davis has played in 726 of 948 possible games

That is 76.6% of possible games.

So no. Burrow is not Davis.
