Meh just a slap on the wrist, they'll still stay up, those bums should have been automatically relegated.

Point deductions are ridiculous. Penalize them financially similar to United a couple of months ago.
This… point deductions shouldn’t have anything to do with things off the field… should have taken 10 wins away from the Astros lol

LOL
Yet Man City continue to escape even a 1 pt reduction. And what they are and have done is 10000x worse than Juventus, barca, etc have done.

But in the case what happened off the field was supposed to affect what happened on it. Part of their financial issues are from buying players they couldn’t afford hoping those players would get them better results.

Sounds like a salary cap is coming
“But our European rivals won’t have a cap”

Sounds like you haven't read any of the report.

Everton, over three years beginning with 2019-20 and ending with 2021-22, lost £124.5 million ($155 million) in relevant areas, according to an independent Premier League commission that ruled on the case. It initially used fishy accounting to try to cover up that loss and avoid punishment. The Premier League cited that "misleading information," and argued that the real reasons for the losses were "that Everton overspent on players, and that it failed to take steps to reduce expenditure."
The commission concluded: "Everton’s [financial] difficulties are not attributable to the costs of the stadium development. ... The cause of Everton’s [] difficulties was the fact that it overspent (largely on its purchase of new players and its inability to sell other players), and because it finished lower in the league than it had projected in [2021-22] (16th against the projected 6th — causing a loss of expected income of £21 million)."
What else ya got, wonder bread?

Apparently Everton and Nottingham Forest face more charges from the PL:

Luton can stay up just by watching teams above them get hammered by the PL.

Everton and Nottingham Forest have been charged with breaching Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules.
Premier League clubs are permitted to lose a maximum of £105m over a three-season period (£35m a season). Due to Forest spending two seasons in the Championship within the latest assessment period, the maximum loss they were permitted was £61m.
The Premier League says both clubs have confirmed they are in breach of the rules for the assessment period ending season 2022/23.
Their cases have now been referred to the chair of the judicial panel, who will appoint separate, independent commissions to determine the appropriate sanction. Punishments could include a fine, points deduction or other sporting sanction.

Everton so lucky this has all happened this season when they’ve actually been in good form
If it happened during one of the last 2 seasons they would’ve been for sure relegated

Forrest could be locking themselves into a relegation battle with Luton depending on how many (if any) points are deducted

Wish this had all happened last year.
