Looking to replace my 2006 Honda Foreman. Great bike but would like to know what is out there in new. Has to be an ATV not UTV. Wet muddy operations with some rocky Texas operation. Looking for reliability and longevity and as good a ride as possible. What sayeth y’all. Thanks. Oh and reasonably priced.

you can always upgrade to a 2008 honda foreman.

It will be another honda. Nothing else comes close.

Run that foreman until the wheels fall off! It’s all junk now.

You already have it,
Change the Battery,
Change the Bearings and bushings
Change the carburetor
Change the oil
Put new tires
Good for another ten years.
I have a 2002 Honda Foreman 450

Seriously? They hadn’t improved in things since then? Honda has issues with electronic shift and differential. Nobody has improved? Polaris?

Only other bike (ATV) that can survive the mud and water was the 250 Big Red.
My father has a 2010 Rincon 680 and has held up so far.

for the Electronic shift, I'd just keep a spare solenoid in the bike with tools. But if you clean it and spray Corrosion x at least once a year, its good to go.

I’m not sure how the other Can-Am ATV’s ride but my 2022 or 2023 Outlander 1000R rides and handles amazing. I would guess the 550’s ride similar.
It’s light years better than my 2007 Honda Rincon
I’m sure Honda’s ride has improved over the last 16 years but I feel like I can run 45 mph over some pretty rough spots on that can am vs my Rincon and even my Ranger SXS.

Yea, this. Electric shift was a dumb buy but that's a minor thing to deal with.

Get a new Honda.
And sell me your old one.

Suzukis are the most reliable ATVs I’ve ever had. Period. I’ve had Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, and Polaris…the worst is the Polaris…two RZR’s (900 and 570) and the electrical issues are insane.

What do you not like about the current bike?
A new foreman is gonna be the most reliable and best bang for your buck, but you’re probably not gonna notice a massive difference. Every honda automatic I’ve driven never seems to be able to find the right gear, and the suspensions could be better. Could always go manual shift.
As far as ride quality in the utility type stuff, the Yamaha grizzly feels like riding on a cloud and the transmission reads your mind. It’s gonna be a close second behind the Honda as far as reliability.

My 2002 Rubicon Auto is pretty smooth and fantastic.
Change out the rotella T6 yearly and it's a happy beast.

This. Bought a Rubicon in 2007 for 5900$. Sold it in 2015 bc I quit hunting due to grad school and still regret it to this day. Same bike now starts over 9k.

I don’t know much about the newer models, but I’ve had a Yamaha Kodiak 450 (2003) and now Grizzly 700 (2008) and they have been terrific. I don’t abuse them but also don’t baby them or keep up with maintenance like I should. If I ever upgrade I’ll probably be looking at another Yamaha. They never let me down.

I love my 2023 Polaris, rides better than any I have tried. Supposedly QC is better now, but I'll wait and see I guess. It has more power than I need, but it's sure fun to have on tap. I'd say whatever you pick, look for a 2023 as they have some nice discounts on them now. My 2023 Sportsman 570 Premium was 9142.00 OTD with 3.5 year warranty after some arguing.
