People just mock the ones who go straight to the meds for weight loss when they haven’t changed their eating habits and/or their exercise routine (if they have one)
People get mocked for not trying anything at all to better themselves and go straight to the shot for weight loss. It’s the lazy way out.. they don’t want to put in the work, yet they want to reap all the benefits. It’s fricking crazy man

I work in a small rural hospital and we have seen 2 cases of pts starting on the meds at reasonable doses for the purpose of weight loss (not here to discuss those merits) that ended up getting a total colectomy secondary to dead gut/ileus. It has happened within a 7-10 day window of starting the meds. The risks are real but I understand the draw for easy weight loss if other methods have failed
