I'm fairly convinced that this is the "quote Eddie Murphy" thread:

Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, & Florida.

Alabama - Saban HC and currently #1 in the Nation
Ole Miss - Nutt HC and Beats Florida + on 4 game win streak
Arkansas - Petrino HC and Upset LSU + close in a couple of games
Florida - HC Meyer and currently #4 in the Nation

His comments are not a stretch. LSU is at least 2 years away to compete for a SEC Championship and MNC. The SEC West is going to be brutal.

Good for him, but if he truly thinks arkansas and ole miss are going to pass up long term he's a bigger dumb shite than I though

The West will now most years be decided between us and Bama.

Has anyone ever asked them selves why KH broke the Miles to MI story the way he did? It is my op. that he did it because he knew if CLM went to MI he would have them back on top and spanking OSU in short order. KH is a OSU grad.

I like this... I hope he and the coaches at these schools take his advice. Over look LSU, i love being the under dog.

IMO, you are going to be a happy person for the next couple of years unless we have a miracle recovery at QB and the entire defense is revived.

I almost welcome the negative press about LSU. MAYBE some of these kids will take it personal. I do believe LSU will improve drastically next year.....we had some serious issues that should be put to rest by next year.

Some people are thoroughly enjoying kicking the Tigers while they are down........they better enjoy it now. Payback's a bitch.

At least two years from competing for a conference title? Competing?

LSU's talent is in line with Florida and ahead of every other team in the SEC. Ole Miss and Arkansas will never have the talent that LSU has. I know talent alone doesn't win (as evidenced by 2008). Competing for a conference championship isn't a stretch. Whether they win one or not, LSU will compete for at least the next few years.

Ole Miss for sure will decline after this year. Recruiting has never been Nutt's strong point and once the talent that O brought into the program(Which he left them pretty stocked and Green-Ellis was doing well in the NFL) is gone I don't think he'll be able to replenish it.

Nutt's team will decline in talent, look how well he's recruiting now. He makes excuses but simply put Orgeron did a much better job recruiting under the same conditions. He's not a great coach, 3 of last year's running backs are starting in the NFL and he went 8-4 last year. He has yet to develop a QB.

The road to the SEC West championship will run through Tuscaloosa and BR.
Saban is probably the best defensive coach in the country. LSU has great talent b/c Louisiana is a hotbed of football talent. You just need a coach that knows how to use it.

I've always thought the LSU fans were too hard on Miles, look at his record. But this year (and last year too) he does things I don't understand. If a running back is doing good, has the hot hand, he gets pulled.

AR, we have a long way to go. Our high school talent is getting better but still leaves much to be desired. Petrino seems to be a good coach so far, he won 3 more games than I expected or we should have. We also were close against KY and Ole Piss. Biggest problem now is getting the talent in here, Houston Dale Nutt left us depleted.

Herbstreit is a disaster. I actually feel better about the future after reading his opinion. He needs to stop putting sun in in his hair if he wants to be taken seriously as a journalist. I am not sure who hates LSU more, Herbstreit or Danielson. I am sure they stay up late in the evenings plotting ways to destroy LSU. I bet they will sign some type of deal to have Danielson and Herbstreit call all LSU games broadcast on ESPN. Terrible work yet again Herbie.

I like Herbie. He's no Chris Fowler or Corso, but I like his style. He's also been very wrong in the past about a lot of teams. Don't forget when the BCS standings first came out this year it was Herbie who was saying on ESPN that he couldn't believe that LSU was not in the top 10. Where's LSU? he said. He also gets it right sometimes.

I don't watch those guys very much honestly. There is so much sports media and speculation on message boards and radio shows now that by Saturday I am sick of the hype and I just want to watch the games.

Herbstreit on Finebaum

Oh, I thought this thread was about a little male on male action, figuring Herbie wanted to be on top so he didn't mess up his hair-obviously not a problem with pondscum. My bad.

Finebaun hates LSU, that's a fact. I'm not one bit surprised about these comments. It would be like Rush Limbaugh inviting someone one his show to speak about how awesome Obama is, it ain't gonna happen.

That being said, my noobie views of this thread are
