Why should Trump Debate?

He is fighting for his company in civil trials hell bent on destroying him because Joe Biden can't win and everyone in the country knows this. He will debate Biden when the time is right and he isn't debating the republican B team.

So we can hear whether or not he can address policy or not this time.

I'd try to have him on stage with Biden, but he has no need to debate the other Republicans

I don't know that he should. He has a crushing lead in the primary and a probable lead in the November elections. He also has a propensity for opening his mouth too much.
Honestly Trump should take the Biden path: disappear other than some tweets for the next year and just let Biden crumble.

Why should Trump Debate?
Because it’s the absolute bare minimum a candidate can do to try to earn my vote. I don’t live in a swing state or an early primary state so
So the best way/only way for candidates to tell me why they are better than the others is in a debate.
Watching a stump speech in West Virginia doesn’t hit points for the guy in Kansas.
Until 4 years ago everyone took it as a given that candidates would debate.
This board made fun of Joe Biden for there being the possibility of not debating.
Trump clearly believes “it’s his turn” and that my vote is owed to him.
He is interviewing to work for me. Not the other way around

I want to see how he does under pressure. He is getting old and eats a ton of junk food. Plus the dude has been sounding more like Biden lately.

Should Biden debate him?
Biden won* the last election vs Trump. As the current occupier of the White House, what is there for him to gain by getting on stage with DJT?

The sad thing is that more conservatives weren’t outraged over his absence.
I understand that he was hesitant to defend himself against J6 accusations from Pence, but he’s going to have to do it anyway. Right or wrong, he can’t run from it.

Because he’s not a senile old frick who thinks he entitled to lead this country.

When Trump loses a year from now by double digits we can look back to insanity like these "Trump doesn't need to debate" as one of the many reasons why. He's barely talking to anyone and he's making major mistakes every time. The Univision interview he said he built the Wall and Mexico paid for it after a few days ago saying people who thought he would do that were losers. Sunday after praising Laura Loomer he confused Kim Jong Un as the leader of China.
Look, I make no bones I'm not voting for Trump in the Primary but I will vote for him as the Nominee if that is the choice. Since that is a very real possibility I want to make sure he has at least been tested somewhat. You folks act like the media is just going to let him slide like they have been if he is the nominee when you damn well know they are going to go nuclear on him and force him to speak and answer tough questions again instead of hiding out in Mar a Lago or doing interviews with people that like him or go easy on him.
If Trump can go toe to toe with DeSantis and Haley and crush them then so be it, worst case is we have some real policy discussion and he can defend his record while seeing he still has "it". Or he gets exposed and we go with someone new. That's how the system is supposed to work. It sickens me how so many of you want to protect him when the dude is about to turn 80 and has a lot of questions he needs to answer for. Sack up or step down.

Debates are a mess in general but Vivek made other problems very obvious. You'd be better with an interview on JRE at this point
