These machines spit out paper ballots

Where is the mecahnical evidence that what is printed out is exactly what gets stored into the machine's hard drive?

Because if what I touch on a screen, prints out different, then the that means the output can indeed be manipulated.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A flaw in Northampton County’s voting machines forced multiple polling places to turn to provisional ballots Tuesday morning.

A programming error with the county’s ES&S ExpressVote XL machines is causing votes to flip when voters split their votes on retention questions for Superior Court judges Jack Panella and Victor P. Stabile. Panella, of Palmer Township, is a Democrat while Stabile is a former chair of the Cumberland County Republican Committee.

If a voter cast a “Yes” vote for one of the incumbents, but a “No” vote for the other, the votes come out flipped, Northampton County Executive Lamont McClure said.

McClure characterized the error as relatively minor and stressed all votes will be counted. But he expressed his frustration that the mistake wasn’t caught during pre-election testing.

“I'm livid at the election folks and ES&S,” McClure said.

LehighValleyNews.com staff found poll workers across the county pulled their machines off-line and relied on provisional ballots when the error was discovered in the early hours after voting precincts opened.. After the first few reports, county officials texted all locations to keep workers informed, according to a county news release.

But Northampton County Judge Abe Kassis ruled Tuesday morning that the county could continue to use the machines, McClure said. In cases where the error would pop up for the retention question, the county would flip the results during the post-election canvass. This followed a recommendation by the Pennsylvania Department of State, McClure said.

Glenn Geissinger, chair of the Northampton County Republican Committee, said his party intends to appeal this decision.

His committee supports extending voting hours to accommodate any voters who may have been turned away but objects to allowing the county to interpret how flipped votes for the Superior Court retention question should be handled, he said.

They did a hand recount of the paper ballots in Georgia.

Recounts are not audits, retard.

If you have a ruler that only measures 10 inches to a foot and you remeasure something, it's still going to be wrong, even though the results are "accurate".

I wouldn't know about that, but for example, Georgia did a hand recount of the printed ballots. It confirmed the vote totals.

A lot of the ballots are missing. They just went poof like a fart in the wind.

Lol, I love it. When confronted with facts the story just keeps changing.

Trumpist - The machines switched votes!

Sane Person - Actually the machines spit out paper ballots that are confirmed by the voter and turned in.

Trumpist - But it spits out a QR code!

Sane Person - Yes, a QR code and a summary of your vote. In english. That you could read if you are able to read. And a hand recount of these paper ballots was done. The vote counts were affirmed.

Trumpist - But now I read on a blog by QAnon that some ballots are missing!

I never said they were, retard.

If the machines flipped votes, then when the paper ballots were counted by hand the vote totals would have been different, right? If not, why not?

I almost don't blame the democrats anymore, I mean why not? The republicans have shown they aren't going to do anything about it, the democrats pull something like this then say, hey they're fixed now and we won.

And the republicans just shrug and walk away. There comes a point where if someone is abusing you over and over you have to stand up and fight for yourself and the republicans haven't shown any desire to do so.

frick them, I'm not fighting for people who won't fight for themselves

the republicans fought for Youngkin when the dems wanted to count for 3 days until they won and set up fake fed proud boys at Youngkin's bus.

yet they let Mastriano rot with Kari Lake...

this story was about the judges race. someone did do something and a judge overruled and said use the machines and it is under appeal.

You are a fool. There is enough evidence that anyone with a ounce of critical thinking ability would realize that the election was not legit. Go cry a liberal river somewhere else you POS.

I voted in Louisiana today. You do not get a paper ballot printout, you just throw a plastic card into a red tray.
