LSU's 3 losses

The opponents are 25-2 and all ranked in the Top 10. And two of them played each other so someone had to lose. And they were all on the road.
I know the defense is unwatchable...but I don't think this team is as doomed as The Rant makes it out to be.
That said...this is the team most Ranters deserve. Y'all were unhappy with a guy that averaged 10 wins a year for a decade.

It’s a 9-3 to 7-5 team yearly under BK. His recruiting is arse and that’s the biggest fear for everyone

They’re gonna finish 33-3 too.
When we finish 9-3 w a shot at 10 w the bowl I expectt the mood around here to be much rosier.
Everyone is pissed we lost to Bama, myself included, it sucks. But this team is continuing to build, we as fans just have to remember progress usually isn’t linear.
Very bullish on 2024 and beyond.

No no no, you’ve misinterpreted the sky screaming from all the Chads here: it’s not just that this team that is doomed, it’s that the entire program is doomed, we’ll never win anything under Kelly, we can’t recruit, we have no money for NIL, etc.

If that’s your attitude, just kill your self. Or at minimum leave until lsu hires someone you approve. shite fans like you are the worst.

I agree with this.

I disagree with this. It was past time for Les to go.

All Les had to do was fix his outdated offense

He signed the #5 class in the country last year and currently sits at #8 right now. The 2025 class looks promising as well.
You need to realize that's about where LSU has been during its "golden years".

Why? What the hell do we bring in that brings confidence on defense. Our offense is worse next year also

We also signed elite db’s and lineman. Those classes were better than this by a long shot

3 losses away to top 10 teams . Possibly 2 playoff teams . It’s just a hard draw . Defense is Terrible. Nothing house can do to fix the talent and inexperience on defense. I agree he needs to not be employed at LSU after this season . That all being said I think the majority of LSU fans aren’t shocked at the record up to now . Most predicted 2 or 3 loses . I think next year will be another 10 win season but it will be awhile before winning a natty . Georgia and bama still have the edge going forward

Whoah now. This is the rant. You need to leave your logic and sound thinking before you come in here. I remember when CBK said we were a year away, people didn't buy it, and now they're mad because we're a year away.

not only that, but 1 of those teams is BAMA, who we know their coach has been here for 16 years and his roster is built by him and deep.....the other 2 coaches have 1-2 years on Kelly's complete rebuild. so its a lame arse excuse, but its somewhat relevant, we haven't built from the high school ranks just yet.
portals help (last year), and hurt (this year), but we need to realize we are competing with teams that are 2+ years ahead of the shitty roster that it was at the end of 2021.
defensive side of the ball coaching is atrocious (no DL coach hasn't helped), no defensive leadership (Brooks appeared to be stepping into that).....but we have to get some guys on campus, and better coaching on that side who can recruit.

FSU and Bama is whatever. We got beat by the better team. The Ole Miss loss pissed me off for a week. We lost that game solely because our garbage defense was incapable of getting one singular stop.

The entire league moved on from that style of play but he wouldn’t budge. He was on the decline and as much as people look at overall recruiting class numbers, his 3 and out style had started to take a toll on LSU’s rosters.

Let’s not forget the offense only scored 7 points in the 2H vs FSU and 2H vs Bama. Other teams made adjustments, we did not

Sure, I’ll bite. Here are my opinions about 24 and beyond.
Offense:
-next year might be the best OL we’ve ever had, which makes EVERYTHING better (including relieving pressure on D, running ball and sustaining drives) so let’s start there.
-Our offensive coaching staff is elite at every level.
-TE, RB will continue to grow/get better, alreasy both solid units (despite MTs drops Saturday).
-WR will miss Thomas and neighbors but still insanely talented room, we’ll have guys.
-Nuss isn’t new and has all the tools/support to be great, and I think he can be.
-given all of the above, I’m not convinced the offense takes that big of a step back. Could still be really really good.
CBK:
-fired his long tenured “right hand man” running special teams, the unit is dramatically better this year. I have a lot of confidence he’ll do the same on D.
-next year will be first year CBK will finally have championship caliber DEPTH across the 85. The portal isn’t some magic bullet as we know now.
-We’re going to sign 30+ this class (will finish top 10). Quality competition everywhere will help tremendously. 25 class looks very promising too.
Defense:
-it can’t really get worse, not for a program like LSU.
-Fully expecting several new coaches, new transfers, and new playmakers to emerge through spring/fall camp.
-It’s not like CBK has had bad defenses throughout his career, usually the opposite, confident he can and will get it fixed.
CBK, like the last 3 coaches here, will win a national championship. Might not be 24 but it’s coming.
