I am REALLY starting to think we are going to be so much better off without the likes of Taylor, Byrd, RJF(assuming he declares) and some of the other senior malcontents who clearly did not give a shite.

I feel sorry for Beckwith.

That said...I think a new DC and a new attitude can fix a lot of this.

The dysfunction at every level of the team this year is alarming to say the least.

I didn't know about Beckwith crying. I feel bad for him being a senior who had a productive career at LSU while fighting through injuries.

Hopefully his brothers have better attitudes than him.

my question is, why is Miles allowing his players to act like classless little shits????

Because they're upperclassmen.

I'll say this about Curtis Taylor. He was very vocal and demonstrative early in the season when the plays were not getting in on time. I think he cared until the coaches mae him a scapegoat to get McCray off the slot receivers.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Miles is learning his lesson about discipline.

He got burned a couple of years ago offering scholly's to a bunch of kids who couldn't qualify, which is why we're not offering a bunch of kids like Lacy and Sentimore.

I think that is what he was reffering to in his meeting with reporters about a "change in attitude" first and foremost.

Leave Taylor and Byrd at home for the bowl.

I don't know shite about LSU's inner workings, but this is a good point, from the outside looking in.

Damn...ya'll are quick to turn on these guys. Each and every one of ya'll loved those guys last year. That story sucks about the team...makes it look even worse than we thought behind the scenes, but I guess we all kinda thought it was like that anyway.

If they're bad teammates now, they don't give a shite, AND they're PLAYING....yeah, that sucks for the team. But that's on Miles to keep them off the field, and whip them into shape. He didn't.

Not sure why I care, but I think ya'll turned on 'em quick. Over the summer we couldn't wait for those guys to hit the field. Just sucks that things went as bad as they did.

I agree. Big deal - he laughed.

Discipline him, teach him better and coach him up.

Of course I will turn on them if they turn their backs on the team. And from all accounts, Byrd and Taylor pouted all season. They didn't give two shits about the team. And I can't tolerate that.

I have given Danny McCray his fair share of shite. But you know what, he goes out there and gives 100% all the time. Maybe he's not the best athlete, but I would rather have him out there than a whiny "I love me some me" diva.

I was about to post that. That is an scathing story. Wow. Apparently, we were not a team at all, which is obvious by how LSU played.

A good DC should be able to come in and fix this. I know that we don't know how it will happen, but maybe we are not as far away as we think.

The fact that Miles was with the defense in August shows you that he knew that this was a problem. That is a good sign, at least. He doesn't seem oblivious.

What that game made clear -- and what Miles now acknowledges the staff was perhaps slow to incorporate in its thinking -- was that LSU did not have the horses, on either side of the ball, that it had in 2007.

Really??? All the P&G goggle wearers claim this to be an ultra talented team. How can this be? Somewhat kidding aside, the answer is somewhere in the middle. It is not like all the offensive players not playing QB lost talent from 2007 to 2008. I will quit beating the drum, but the D line was highly overrated.
