The University of Michigan has fired recruiting analyst Connor Stalions, a source tells Yahoo Sports. He was previously suspended with pay during the NCAA investigation into in-person scouting.

Connor Stalions refused to cooperate with any internal or external investigations or discussions, source said.

A vast majority of the Big Ten coaches expressed their frustrations with the ongoing signal-stealing investigation at Michigan in a video call with commissioner Tony Petitti on Wednesday, sources told ESPN.

The call, which took 90 minutes, included nearly an hour without Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, who hung up after the regularly scheduled Big Ten business to allow the conference's coaches to speak freely about the NCAA's investigation into Michigan.

According to five sources familiar with the call, a chorus of voices encouraged Petitti to take action against Michigan in a call that was described as both intense and emotional.

"Collectively, the coaches want the Big Ten to act -- right now," said a source familiar with the call. "What are we waiting on? We know what happened."

The coaches in the Big Ten laid out to Petitti, who was hired in April, just how distinct of a schematic advantage Michigan has held the last three years by illegally obtaining the opposition's signals ahead of time, as has been alleged.

Coaches used words like "tainted," "fraudulent" and "unprecedented" on the call to describe Michigan's signal-stealing scheme, as has been alleged. Much of the call, according to sources, was coaches explaining to Petitti both how it worked and how it impacted them and their programs. Both in-person opponent scouting and using electronic equipment to steal signals are not allowed by NCAA rules.

I still don't think anything happens because of all the money involved. You'll basically be telling Fox that the osu/Michigan game this year will be worthless. Good luck with that.

Penalty options - tied to the Big Ten’s sportsmanship policy - have been discussed by conference & school leaders, who wish to avoid impacting players.

The sportsmanship policy’s “standard” disciplinary action includes a fine and 1 or 2-game suspension.

Several sources at Michigan and in the media tell TheWolverine.com they are gathering evidence on two private investigators they believe are behind the investigation into U-M’s alleged illegal on-site scouting. The same sources also believe the two are responsible for the media leaks that have kept the story in the news for weeks.

Reporters are working to put the pieces together, but we know Michigan is currently in possession of documents that could link one of the alleged investigators to Day’s younger brother, Timothy Day. The other they suspect is linked to Day’s brother, Christopher, and was also a classmate of Tim Day’s in New Hampshire. One currently runs a private investigation firm in Manchester, N.H., Day’s hometown.

The thing that gets me with this shite is it's so easy to change things up. surely someone in all of these games had to realize at somepoint michigan seemed to know what was going on. Maybe stop signaling plays and start calling them in or change your signals or DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Of course the coaches are going to be over dramatic . They would love for Michigan to have a post season ban.

I doubt anything will be done this season. It's November and the big ten schedule must go on. But Michigan could be denied a bowl game and a playoff appearance. No shortage of teams for the playoffs and bowl games.

This is literally in the same category as parking in a space reserved for disabled people: reprobate, worthy of reprimand and fine, but so far from uncommon or unheard of as to be less than insignificant to all but the most unctuous do-gooders..

B10 is so fricking soft. SEC coaches wouldnt say a thing. They would actually probably all be in a behind the scenes bidding war to steal the guy (and everyone he worked with) away and use him as an 'analyst.'

The main thing I took from all of this is that the B1G commissioner has "titty" in his name.

My stance has always been, for OSU and everyone else, if you're cheating and get caught, you pay the piper so to say

The sign stealing already done in 2023 should impact the 2023 team. I agree with some people who are saying teams have time to change their signs for the rest of the year. I don't know how long it takes of course to change your entire sheet, but everyone has known about this for 2 weeks now. A lot of changes can be made.

I don't know the right overall punishment, because there has been so many crazy one offs. Did they hack into OSU's cloud server and steal practice film? Was this dude at a CMU game or whatever wearing their clothes? Did Michigan in any way fund these 30 trips and tickets? What coaches if any knew what was going on? Why is a recruiting intern standing next to the head coach/coordinators and helping them call plays?

If Michigan funded these trips/tickets or if there is evidence they stole tape off a server from another team, that's serious to me. If they can't follow the bread crumbs and get them for 1 of those 2 things, it seems kind of meh

Or maybe, just perhaps, legal has a say in this?

You know, if your peers could complain and bitch about you in your employment and that's all it took for swift, no due process.

Colleges love Kangaroo courts. In all those "sexual assault" cases, they never let the accused confront their accusers.

Really wish this was all happening with Ohio State instead. College football is better when Michigan is good, and Harbaugh has them rolling now.

Ohio State is nearly as tiresome as Bama, so they can frick right off

Weird that the consensus here is just whatever the other teams can alter their strategies because one team is cheating. The whole is getting punished for the one, who gets no punishment. Donut scene in FMJ.

I do know that if this was Bama, the rest of the sec would ge calling for their heads

The amount of people downplaying this is insane.

They had an elaborate plan to fly all over the country to steal signals.

If its not a big deal, why did UM spend so much money, time and effort to steal the signals?

This entire thing would be moot if the NCAA allowed one player on each side of the ball to have a radio in the helmet. It’s 2023, not 1923. Make the change.
