I enjoy my Ninja coffee bar. Can make a pot or small/large cups for single serving. Uses standard filters.

thats what we got. the only way i would upgrade is if we could get one with a hopper for beans on top that automatically grind them before it makes your coffee.

You will not experience that much of a difference between a $30 and $125 machine
This is a very inaccurate statement.
Also, do not buy a Ninja. I had two of their units die after a couple months of use.

Any coffee/ espresso combo recommendations?

Just find one that phases the water onto the grounds. You dont want one that brews coffee in a min. It should take about 8 min to bring the water to temp and then perform like a pour over.
I have a BUNN phased brewer, but they dont make them anymore. Mine makes great coffee if you want something more automatic than a full carafe and pour over where you have to watch it.

Any recommendations for this? What’s the price range of those? I’ve seen some going for over $500…that’s a lot for a cup of coffee.

My French press holds eight cups
So does mine. But the coffee does not stay hot beyond the first cups.
And thanks everyone for the suggestions.
I will look into these and get something with a thermal carafe.

We had the ninja duo that did k cups and drip. Only lasted a year before it went to curb. Now we have some keurig duo I got at walmarks for 80$
Don’t tell me that. I just dropped $190 on one of these and I love it so far.

I would recommend OXO Coffee maker
I definitely wouldn’t recommend the OXO. The piece holding the water reservoir and where the coffee grounds are is a rather weak piece of plastic. We had the OXO and after about 1.5 years the heat had weakened the connecting piece to the point that the coffee carafe no longer lined up and coffee spilled every time we tried to brew.
We have a Mochamaster now and am much happier

We've had the Bunn A10 for over 20 years and it is still great.

We have the 8 cup OXO going on 4 years now and not a single issue, whatsoever. I made the mistake last year placing the carafe in the dishwasher and the chemicals caused a reaction with the coating on the carafe. I contacted OXO and the happily replaced it at no cost, even though I was long out of warranty.
Which model did you have that was an issue and did you contact OXO about replacement or warranty coverage?

We had the nine cup model. Wife asked about warranty coverage and got nothing.
The middle top part weakened and the right part of the coffee maker started to sag, causing a misalignment with the carafe

Seems like the moccamaster is much quicker than that…I think it just heats to 200 though.

Moccamaster
Get it on Amazon and you can probably pay in interest free installments over a few months

I know this will disappoint some of you but I ordered the Black and Decker with thermal carafe for $46.
Has higher reviews than those 3 times as much.
I will give it a try and report back later.

What about the old fashioned ceramic type.
I’m going to look for one now
Porcelain?
Enamel?

You may want to revisit your warranty claim as they have a lifetime warranty on the products "THEY" sell. Now if you purchased through a third party site, I can't speak to that issue.

OP: if you can up your budget a bit, you can get a Bonavita for $150 or $175. I have a Braun Multiserve right now which has been good too.. See those for $150.
Agreed. I had the 9 cup OXO for 4 or 5 years, kept losing the shower head and OXO would send me a new one no questions asked. Gave it away bc I got a new machine when I got married.
For the guy asking about a combo coffee and espresso machine, please don’t do that.
